check here
it same to upgrade x18i but without add Rom file if you only want upgrade your recovery.
on this tutorial rom is 2.3.6 updated 8-3-2012 check your phone because 2.3.6 have 3 version.
if your still january version, you can upgrade your phone too.
next, if you success upgaded recovery,check here to root your phone

hey great guys

i have download mrtb8 and mrtb10 and sp flash tool. now the big question is how to load it to my phone. mera android 2.3.4 and its rooted with super....
please give me step by step as i am slow...

mrtb rom ( all custom rom with *.zip file/ not *.img file ) must flash on recovery mode. but, if that *.img file (ex: recoveryMOD.img) flash with sp flash tool. upgrade your recovery and you can flash all customROM.

You mean you don't want to G-talk app in Chinese, but one in English, right? Then you can just uninstall it and then install a new one, it's easy job, and is there any problem to do this. You bought it from PandaWill? I know this website, one of my colleagues used to work there, you can contact with them if still have problem.

yes, ICS lockscreen must install (flash) on recovery mode

hey guys im new here an i buy this phone but i dont know what exactly happen but i think i got hardware problems (i already google it the problem but no answer) when i got the phone the first hours works great but afterfew hours is starting to get frozen problems i mean i got crash the phone stop working still on but no response by the phone just frozen i already change the rom actualy use iw4nk cooked rom (good work mate) but the same problem the first hours with that rom was ok but after few hours starting stop any one get the same problem or like?

Back to original ROM ...

CustomROM only change system File. but on original ROM it can restoring data, kernels, etc.

I've followed your instructions on flashing the rom but i must have made a mistake and now the device is stuck on the boot logo.

Can i somehow repair this?

it is original rom for x18i (not my rom). 2.3.6 have 3 version but I like with 08032012. yes, all can working. on 2.3.6 you can choose 3G connection with sim 1 or sim 2 only on phone settings. sorry my english is not good

your default rom is 2.3.4 or 2.3.6? and 2.3.6 have 3 version . check my blog
