You can, but it is supremely laggy on a G1, I wouldn't recommend it. I used it for 2 days and had to switch back to the old market because I couldn't stand the lag.

Thanks a lot

BTW loving this rom
i added debug.sf.hw=1 on the build.prop and has made my g1 even more snappier and faster

Make sure your phone meets all the op (1st post requirements) ... if everything ok reflash the rom after wiping everything or to make it simple use supper wipe (its a flashable zip that will wipe all the partitions properly

Hello!

I put this ROM on my girlfriends Dream. Now she got problems with 3-4 self-reboots per day. I found some post with a similar problem but no solution to it. The rest of the ROM is working good until now.

Facts: Biffmod 2.1 ezTerry2708 with the ezTerry RAM-Hack.

Thanks

Christian

Make sure you met all the requierments in the 1st post , if all the requierrments were met then you might have a bad flash/rom redownload the rom and flash it again.. make sure to do a full wipe of system, cache, data, and then reflash the rome or to make is simple flash super wipe for g1 then flash the rom

OP has mentioned that there will be no more development for this ROM, he recommends froyo for trout. I recommend froyo by Laszlo for 2.2,and ADS Magpie for 2.3

I can't believe people are still using the G1. This was the greatest G1 ROM but, look at the date. v2.2 never came out, development stopped when the OP got the MT3G, I believe. We have moved on to greater, snappier phones. Try the G2. Mine was stolen but, I wish I still had it. I loved that phone almost as much as I loved the G1.

Sad scene.... :(

This is a great ROM, first time trying today.... sad scene in terms of G1 development though :( this has great potential, but stopped at v2.1. Speed, battery life etc. is fantastic though...

OP did mention that froyo by laszlo would be the one that he recommends for froyo. I used laszlo and ADS magpie back in the days. Both are solid daily driver

Yeah, I tried Froyo by Laszlo but I found the battery drain a bit high... this seems alright though... I like the themes aswell, and I copied the changedpi command over and it worked (I love that... no build.prop changes :) )

or do something smart like customMTD
but you are not smart enough, so forget I mentioned it

tech support is a job for people who read flash cards

That's a F'd up bunch of things to say dude.

Just because most folks don't see the world in "Matrix Vision" code like you do, doesn't mean we're all a bunch of morons. I do tech support in my free time and have never once been to school for it and have never used "flash cards".

I understand that you have an extremely solid grasp on the inner workings of things here, but your next priority should really be to work on installing that brain to mouth/keyboard filter.

I've pretty much lost all respect for you with that crappy attitude of superiority you constantly throw around.

Try supersparks 1.6.3 then and tell me if you feel the same you've tried it

    errm.,
hate to break it to you , but
    SuperSparks 1.6.3 is CM 6.1

but the majority of the community consists of

    • moron whiners
    • morons who can't search
    • morons that write poor guides
    • morons that try to help but just reiterate crap from poor 'guides'
    • morons who post about problems that don't exist
    • self-righteous morons

why should I do anything for it?

Actually, morons are only the vocal minority, like in any system. I think the majority of the community is silently appreciative of the hard work devs do. We should show our appreciation more, at least with a kind word; I suspect most of us don't because we see all the posts made by those listed above and don't want to add to the general noise level.

I'll say it now, though: The only reason I updated to CM 6.1 was because of Magpie, and I'm thrilled to have my G1 working well enough to make the wait for a new phone/contract bearable. You still don't owe us anything, but we're grateful for all you do.

    It lives! Biffmod lives!!!!

BIFFMOD will continue! Developers have come forward with plans to release an update to BiffMod, re-based to CM 6.1 and including other goodies they've been working on. See you in the New Year!
    2
Just overclocked using setcpu... BiffMod runs even faster now!

Try the tips linked in my sig as well. My phone pretty much runs itself.
