I don't know, I just assumed, with everone calling them nfc enabled batteries it was all on board.
So its just the antenna within the battery?

yes, the antenna is located within the battery. The actual NFC chip is located within the actual device it self.... that's how it works

Circle K here in the midwest, their new 'reward' program for the Polar Pop and their equiv of the slurpee, they use an NFC tag to track/accumulate points. It's a MIFARE Ultralight (46 bytes after formatting)

Points are probably stired on their servers, and a user id on the card.

They met be stored on their servers but something on their card has to change to signify that there has to be an increase in value or a decrease so the servers can assign a value to the user's account

NFC works with India-Chennai MRTS card
NFC works with Chennai (India) MRTS railway smart card.
Since railways is owned by National Govt, theoretically it should work with other Railway cards as well.
