nevermind: just 7zip getting confused about the file format

kernel.elf is a normal Format

Weird, make sure you have removed /system/autorooted before.
And if it doesn't work again, paste here the content of /data/local/tmp/autoroot.txt

I flashed this kernel & booted into recovery without any problems!
The only question i have is, I know what superuser is and that it's needed to grant superuser permissions but what is SuperSU and is it needed too?

A version with DoomLord's autoroot and init.d is on the way

---------- Post added at 05:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:36 PM ----------

Updated Version :
- autoroot
- init.d support
- system partition mounted by default on recovery (fix adb)

Same link : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12943198/kernel.elf

can i also suggest support for booting into recovery through rom manager by checking for the existence of the file /cache/recovery/boot in the same way the bootrec script does in doomlords kernel

SuperSU is just the .apk that manages the SU permissions... It's just chainfire's alternative to "SuperUser" from ChainsDD, the more common tool to manage the permissions.

Done !

New version : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12943198/ics2.elf
- /cache/recovery/boot support
- Improved autoroot script (copy missing files even if /system/autorooted exists)

ramdisk sources : https://github.com/Arakmar/xps-ics-ramdisk

thank you Arakmar for the kernel and releasing the source, i like what you've done you came at it from a different direction, maybe you should've released in your own thread (just saying.. )

Anyway.. to the point: "mount USB storage" in recovery fails:

E:Unable to open ums lunfile (No such file or directory)
