My current OS is:

[UPDATE][ICS]Stock Android 4.0.4 IMM76, Root, via CWM Recovery (US Wi-Fi MZ604) (from the Xoom - Development forum)

Is that no good?

Thanks for the reply btw.

Pretty sure the ota ..needs the Xoom to have stock boot.IMG.,system.IMG,data.IMG, and that 4.0.4 has a rooted boot.IMG...that might be the problem .

Yep you need stock recovery for these updates to work.

Actually for me ..I was able to flash the eos r6 recovery prior to flashing this ota.
Might depend on the ota at hand.

Edit: I didn't modify the ota either ..just clicked the link in the op and flashed using eos r6 recovery.

No internal.

I was on stock 4.0.4 everything . Only bootloader unlocked Downloaded the zip in op directly from my Xoom ..then .connected my Xoom to computer .transfered the universal root Xoom zip..rebooted into bootloader .. opened cmd prompt ..had the eos r6.IMG inside the platform-tools folder , fastboot flash recovery eos r6.IMG sent and wrote it just fine

Fastboot reboot ...rebooted into recovery ..had the eos r6 one come up fine...flashed the op zip..everything went through fine..created a backup of my current state ..after that finished ..I flashed the Xoom universal zip..rebooted into system ..everything was good ( root didnt work). Turned off Xoom then booted back into recovery and still had the eos one.

Yeah, this is how I just did it for my Wifi Only Version.

1. Download the OP's google link for the new JB Update (link)

2. Rename it to update.zip

3. Place the update.zip on the internal storage root directory of your xoom

4. Using EOS Recovery (CWM based) R6 recovery (installation instructions), reboot into Recovery Mode and perform an "install zip sd card"

5. Choose the option for "apply /sdcard/update.zip"

6. After installation is complete, choose the reboot option and enjoy the new JB update

Edit - Wow, first post?

And you don't have root after, right?

Can you re-root with the same way ICS was rooted?

Yeah, went from 4.0.4 unrooted to 4.1.1

Only modification I made was applying the EOS Recovery.

Including a picture to show my new version

OK, I´m to stupid for this....

I have since some months a Firmware on my xoom (don´t know which version exactly).
When I want to apply the update over Recovery I get an error.

So can someone please tell me which Firmware I have to flash to apply this update?

Do you need to unlock in order to fastboot the EOS Recovery IMG?
