My phone screwed up big time some days ago (my first day of vacation - Murphy's law :mad: ).

I was browsing the webz in hsdpa (3G) when it completely lost reception: no network at all, I couldn't even make a phone call.
I tried everything: cleared cache, dalvik cache, reflashed the zip, switched baseband (to 2.2 EU, then back to 2.2.2 EU), and finally I had to wipe data to restore my network connectivity.

Now only 2.2 EU baseband seems to work correclty for me. If I switch to 2.2.2 EU (which has been working correclty for me for ages), if it's on 2G it's fine, if I switch to 3G: no network again :(

Any idea, anyone?

No idea really but if you find something i'm interested. :D

I've got some problems with network too, specially when the phone is idle long, or i go to a place without connectivity or switch antenna (i'm on a carrier with roaming), and didn't find the solution yet.

I think i'll make a full wipe and reinstall the latest version soon to see if it solves some problems. :D

(i don't really have much on my phone, most is the hassle of setting everything up to my tastes again :)).

I don't encounter much problems at all (really seldom i lose data connect, but that's fixed by switching data on/off in seconds).
Would you mind to check your versions and report them? I had massive problems to get back reception after a switch to EU2.3.4 and that wasn't fixed by just doing a new install factory wipe or anything, the only thing that did it for me was using the two obscure utilities from tezets thread back in the days...

Maybe you should try that too and switch to 2.2.2 with the ms2baseband v2 2.1.1 util...

i attached you my version, i remember the version with the ms2toolbox was older...

i found it on some obscure chinese site, was a lot of hassle ;)

PS: i also attached the bpsws they go into sdcard/ms2toolbox/bpsw i zipped them with path so you should just have to extract them in the root of the sdcard

I'm using Mobo Player to watch movies, but when I rock the volume up using volume buttons the phone come off of the silent regime.

Can anyone whose using mobo player, please, confirm this. Thanks in advance

This is not a bug, but a feature. I think it can be overriden manually by editing framework file. I've done it for MIUI before.

(OT: Trying to make your nice M2 with even nicer Android/Cyanogen to look like fugly WP is bleh)

My keyboard's backlight does not work and either menu button's backlight.
How/Where can i set this option? (if you mean the option in "Device"->"Advanced"-> "Old style KB Backlight" i've just tried this but it doesn't work)

I also had the keyboard lights problem but got it solved by doing the following. Go to settings-display-auto backlight-check enable then edit over levels. Make sure the keyboard is not set to 0. Then enable automatic brightness in your toggle settings. Keyboard backlight should work. Using any other brightness level except automatic causes the keyboard to not work. I hope this helps.

I've tried this and it's the same for me. Keyboard's backlight and Softkey's backlight's works only when automatic brightness is enalbe.
Tomorrow i'm going to edit over levels because now the display is too dark for me.

    This rom is based on tezet framework, merge cyanogenmod latest source code and camera code from defy. Its still a ALPHA version, bugs report is welcome.

    Working:
    - Features from tezet rom.
    - Recording (works, but unstable)
    - Panorama (built-in camera app)
    - Barcode scanner
    - VPN(PPTP MPPE)
    - 1% Battery
    - H264 high profile decoding(but laggy!)
    - HWA (all credit to nadlabak, excellent and fantastic works bring whole BL devices to new stage!!)

    Since defy/defy+ has JB now(by quarx2k! very cool!), I am sure we can have it no problem.(a lot functions work on defy's JB now)

    When? After I solve major bugs like hw keyboard&brightness on ICS.

    HEY GUYS , some great news for you all :D

    DEFY has got complete HWA ( or HUI ) working on this locked kernel :D
    everything including Chrome , flash player is working , it is as fast as any other official ICS ROM ( buttery smooth ) :D

    if you guys can compile all those changes into ur rom , it would be great :D

    nadlaback ( milestone 1 developer ) made this achievement of running PVR SGX 1.8 ( stack loader ) on the locked kernel :D

    also to mention : FULL HWA is working on both FROYO and GB KENELS ( so it should not be a great problem for you guys ) :D

    The GPU is the SGX530 on a OMAP 3610 CPU (OMAP3620 for Defy+)
    We have the same SGX530 but in a OMAP3630 CPU.

    Is the solution applied by the Defy team be applied to our CM9 ?

    Yes, it works on MS2 too, but there's a problem. Flash11 is not working with TI.720P.Decoder.

    If I can bypass this problem, I will release a update version this weekend.

    Hey guys,

    I had problems with running Chrome (10s crash) too and it seems I found solution:

    FC Chrome, clear data & cache, then run it and DO NOT CHECK "send crash data" box (as it seems to crash app), just accept the conditions and then log into (or don't) your google account. My Chrome stopped crashing after that and it's synced with my PC Chrome.
