They only said it's scheduled for this month. That's not a confirmation at all. They didn't say they'll keep that schedule and they didn't confirm that there even is an update to come. That answer told us only that some time ago, someone planned the update to being released this month.
Nevertheless, I haven't given up hope yet.
There are 2 reasons to believe that Samsung Germany is probably telling the truth:fingers-crossed:
1. Samsung has just released ICS for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 which is a tegra2 device. As such we may well hope that Samsung has started to roll-out updates for its tegra line of devices http://m.androidcentral.com/ics-updates-reportedly-starting-some-3g-galaxy-tab-101-models
2. The update for the Tab 10.1 has been first launched in the UK(Europe) and Italy. So it might be silly, but none the less a reason to be believe that the update would land in Germany(Europe) first.
At least someone(Samsung Germany) is replying. Samsung India is tight lipped. Praise them on their fb, they'll be more than happy to comment on your post. LOL.

- SwedenSamsung Germany replied my first question on their facebook-wall(dunno why they answered my second one first)
"Hallo * , geplant ist das Update auf ICS für das Galaxy R noch für Juli. Spätestens im August sollte es verfügbar sein."
