[ROM] Galaxy W/Exhibit II RebelROM 3.0 [ICS hybrid, LITE and SMOOTH](31/8/2012 BETA)

Hi!!
nice rom. quite fast, smooth and stable.. :good: :good: :good: :good:
but, I've noticed some bugs :
- Settings force close whenever I go into the Settings, Wireless and Networks, Kies via Wi-Fi
- Settings force close whenever I go into the Settings, Update ROM
- there is no swype installed to the rom
- there is no Office software like Polaris office, Kingsoft Office for editing/making a document
- the performance is a lil bit laggy when I play Asphalt 6 (dunno if anyone also noticed this bug)
- there is no time shown when you've done setting the alarm
- YouTube crash when you're about to play a video
Request :fingers-crossed: :
- Fix the FC issue
- Install swype, office software to the rom :good:
- Improve the perfomance while gaming :good:
- Fix the alarm bugs

Love this rom so much. I've been using this rom for 3month. The main issue with this rom is battery drain fast. Other than that, im satisfied.

If you turn the phone to landscape, you will see the time at the right. I agree the gap is quite large.
This ROM is rock solid and very stable. It has been my fall back ROM whilst I have been playing around with the various ICS ROM's
I tried this ROM and it looks absolutely fabulous, I was very impressed. Unfortunately for me the only 'bug' is that system notification volume kept resetting itself to very low when I got any notifications/sms.
I did all the usual wipe and format before install, and clear cache and fix permissions after install - but for x3 attempts the result is the same
Initially the voulume seemed okay, then as soon as a sms came through the notification volume went quiet, i reset it, and at the next notification the volume went quiet again - bummed as it looks a gorgeous ROM

No, but maybe they like the fact that GB roms have fewer (if any) bugs than ICS roms for SGW at present.

Ill go more into changes after someone tests it and confirms it is working. but yes all those things should be fixed. Along with all theme issues, they should be fixed (thanks camcory). yes it is still GB-based, but with a ICS theme, Sammy value pack bringing some ICS features, etc

But as I know, forfivo's kernel is based on Arco's kernel at first, so I am wondering whether will it work on GB
And just an opinion, maybe you can use Last Page as base ROM instead of 2nd Gen as I feel that the latest version is faster and Rio had added a few updates (eg changed to base XXLM8), but just for you info in the latest build after executing the SuperCharger V6 script, you may not be able to receive the incoming messages, so I guess you may have to play with the setting a bit (if you do wish to update it)
And maybe you can consider to release an OC version and Non-OC version
Just a few opinions, sorry for my bad English, and really thanks for contributing to the device's development & welcome back

, but i think MyDeSTiNaTe is right and the beta has the wrong boot.img (its for ics/cm9) so it likely wont boot. Im uploading beta 2 now. Has boot.img for latest black notes (Cow kernel non OC) should work.

Nice job dude I will be waiting for a stable release since I am quite busy and don't really have time to switch between ROM nowadays :crying:
BTW for your information, the XXLM8 stock ROM which is used by Black Notes and most of the new GB ROM nowadays, is having quite a good performance (even for gaming) and a satisfying battery life (according to the users' feedback) --- maybe you can use COW kernel for the OC version and the XXLM8 kernel for the Non-OC version (just an opinion if you need another alternative)
Hopefully you would port the updates on Last Page to this ROM (ie the new XXLM8-base, a new GPS patch & a few minor changes)

UNTESTED: But should work perfectly fine, it does on the EXHIBIT II, but I just reverted to Galaxy W kernel, and put back the libs I changed to get XXLM6 working on Exhibit II properly back.
Originally a Exhibit II only ROM, but recently I ported XXLM6 to the exhibit II and used it as a base for RebelROM 3.0, so I decided since it would be incredibly easy (just replace kernel, and revert needed libs back to GT-I8150) I would bring this rom over to the Galaxy W as well.
(Widget is Beautiful Widget with ICS theme, and Text on icons in dock is disabled in Xperia S launcher preferences)

Yup,im testing it and give all the forum in my country so the can choose which better,At least 3 days to change or maybe less as long i have the best performance and i share with them..and the appreciate what ive done.
