Well I finally ditched sprint and at&t. Got the Evo V from virgin mobile. Which somehow even though its on sprint towers. Has better reception. Anyway I have an extra 4g cheap if anyone needs one. 100% working,Fully functional, I have replaced the digitizer, about two weeks ago. With Sprint branded OEM gorilla glass.. Anybody wants it pm me. Price is way low so I will not post it. Sales contract available for payment with shipping info. This is a 4-16-12 built, Asurion replacement I received. Payment goes through PayPal for buyer protection.

If I use the OTA updater, will it wipe all my info on my phone or does it act like a Sprint updater?

I can't seem to be able to update OTA. I keep getting "upgrade aborted" Can't mount /sdcard/OTA-updater/download/ss_ultra_4.2.zip

root without USB

Is the anyway to root the evo WITHOUT THE USE OF USB..I ask bcuz my usb port is broken on my gf phone..the bootloader is 2.18 locked...help plz ...I would love to put this on her phone

I think it's about time I wrap up this ROM. The next version will be the final version. I want to thank you all for your support, your donations, your help, and your overall positivity that has really kept this ROM alive. blaz1nr, shag, soap, vinman, and smaw I cannot thank enough.     Hey everyone! I was given permission to take over this project (Originally made by blaz1nr) and was given permission to make my own OP to make downloads easier. Now what you will see below was the original OP. I will now be updating/changing this as I see fit. Enjoy!! - Kyler (Creator of the Simplicity and "Slimplicity" ROM)



    Info:
    This will be a continuation of the FirePower Roms. New Roms have been thoroughly checked and completely reworked. Faster, Better, Slimmer, and more reliable. Both Roms include faster scrolling speed, faster app response and withdraw. Much faster overall experience. Lots of bloat removed that was left in.
    Some Major work done all around for a noticeable improvement. All Roms may be used as a base by anyone, feel free to dig in. Make sure you {link} back here to make sure I get proper credit.    .


    How to install:
    1.Download to Sd
    2.(WIPE) everything (3x) recommended.
    3.Flash rom
    4.Flash Dta2sd (Optional)
    5.Reboot and Enjoy.

    -Should fix any further problems with sync, or force closes
    -NEW!! Added ICS MMS, an ICS styled messaging app!!

    -Replaced ICS MMS with stock MMS (Due to so many requests)

    Ive noticed some of you, in other threads. Commenting on whats is and isn't in this Rom. How can anyone read your mind,or fix a problem if your not posting it here. Any app or system functions you don't have or want. Can easily be added if you just let someone know.
    There's a fairly large # of active devs,that are always in here. We can handle your problems. Well almost all of them. Again,PLEASE REPORT ALL ISSUES FOR THIS ROM IN THIS THREAD ONLY!!! We are here basically,for you guys. We don't make a dime doing this. It's purely for fun. Remember it can't get fixed if no one knows its broken.Thanks again,for all your support.

    Getting an error saying the apps arent properly signed. Can be fixed by fixing permissions most likely but I'm too damn lazy lol. Anywho, the theme looks awesome sharpe! Here's a screenshot of the statusbar after I updated a few apps.
