Hi enigma1nz,the problem is everyone has different needs from a rom,me personal use a phone as a phone(no game and about 10 app).So i theory most rom are ok for me:)The reason for as you say "churn" out roms is the give choice:) If you want a no problem phone use wm6.5, me,mr-evil1,yugoport and the LNE TEAM spend many hours porting rom for all to try which we dont have to do.If me and the LNE TEAM was to close our threads today(which can be done with a click of a few buttons) the sd thread would be a very lonely place.

P.S Many many times i have thought of selling my HD2(£60 in my wallet) as i only use it for porting roms for people to try.

P.S.S if you PM me or one of the other LNE TEAM with you needs from a rom then hopefully we might beable to point you in the right direction:)

Wis if any/all of you, yogiport, Robbie, Mr evil, tytung and LNE team close the threads, I will certainly take my hd2 for swimming hahahah.....nah I love my hd2 and thanks Mr evil for your hard work :)

Remove Google Search Bar

Simple question here.. I Installed this ROM last night after using a sense rom that was a lil to sluggish for me.. This Rom is nice, fast, BUT...

I spent like an hour or two trying to remove the search bar from the home screens.. prolly simple solution that I over looked but If you can help me out I will be sure to thank you..

Can't be removed from default launcher:)use nova or apex from play store:)

Hi,
I can't boot this rom. I've extracted everything and now it's on my SD /ICS/EvoHd2Ics/All the files...

When I launch clrcad.exe and haret.exe the rom starts, but after brief picture with sperm and htc logo, phone reboots and I'm back to WM.

I'm I doing something wrong?

hi everyone..
i still can't install this v9.
it still reboot to winmo (i don't use mgldr) after booting the android (when the "htc" text displayed) again and again.
i have used the new initrd from the post 410 by wish1152 and post 431 by mr. Evil1
also have used startup.txt by mr. Evil1's new post.
i install this v9 by clean instal n i have formatted my card before.
all step i have done is :
1. formatting my SD
2. copy all the v9 my ICS (root SD) folder
3. boot android from winmo

is there any requirements needed to install this ?
can anyone help me by explaining the steps how to install correctly please... ?

I'm using the v9 for long time and never have any problems. I installed the v9 few times and always no problems. All what I do :
1. format microsd to fat32
2. copy the folder evohd2 to sd
3. from wm manager starting clrcad (non effect) and haret, than waiting few minutes and the android is ready.
always the same way.

what i haven't done maybe is the SD formatting.
i'll try it and many thanks for the respons..


EDIT :
after formatting to EXT4, is there any way to boot the zip android rom without using magldr ???
i haven't installed magldr
(sorry for my english)

why you formating to ext4? I always formating to fat32 and for the first time to running a android, the ext4 partition is making automatically. I haven't the magldr too and it's no problem.

if it is not the original, can you show me where i can get it?

EDIT : thanks for hanibal0, i have succeeded loading the evohd2, it need almost 4 minutes for the first boot.
this is really fast and smooth one.

I think is time to find new rom because of the v9 was nice for first time, but now I see it's not perfect rom for me. Now too many times my phone is hang up, usually when I want to call or pick up the phone and almost always when I install new app or update the app I have to take out the battery :(
I tried to write to autor of the evohd2 to ask about the new v10 but no results, no answer.

I'm very happy many people doing good rom's for hd2, and I was happy to using the evohd2 v9 but now I think is time to find some more stable rom.

prosecutor55555 look on the date of preview v10, I was waiting but no more.

By the way, big thanks to mrevil.

    If you have any problems take an new SD Card and "or" make a Full WIPE and CLEAN Install! All problems will disappear



    Install:
    Follow instruction in Aroma installer!

    For NAND
    •Please use at least 200MB system partition and at least 6MB cache partition.
    •If your HD2 has bad NAND blocks, you may needthe larger partition.

    For NativeSd or semi NativeSD user:
    •Please refer to ksubedi's HD2 NAND Toolkit and/or mskip's guide. http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
    •SYSTEM and Data size is not necessary, is determined by the ext4 partition that you have make on SD card!


    •You can Wipe•Wipe Data/Factory Reset(in 4EXT) while doing a fresh install. (Optional: also delete /sdcard/Android folder or format your SD card if you have any strange issue.)
    •Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache while upgrading from an old version and wanting to retain data.

    Install SD-Card Methode

    For normal Sd install it is really easy! Do you use Windows mobile?If you use Windows,download the ROM and copy the EvoHd2v10final.zip on your Sdcard! Download Ext Recovery https://rapidshare.com/files/1423820576/recovery.zip unzip file and copy "recovery" Folder to SD Card! Start your windows phone! Go to Recovery and start CLRCAD and HARRET

    Go to "install from Sd Card" choose the EvoHd2v10final.zip and start the Aroma installer!

    Go to Install on SdCard methode! follow the instruction!
    Reboot the Phone! Go to the Folder "ics" press CLRCAD and Harret,it take about 10 minutes and the phone restart automatical!
    Than go again to "ics" press CLRCAD and Harret -and finish!
