If I try to add a widget the launcher crashes and goes back to home screen. Only adding widgets from within the app-drawer works!
Does anyone has that problem too ?

Couple of questions... I'm trying to load this into system/app on a Kindle Fire HD 8.9 and am having no luck.

Does my Kindle need to be rooted for this to work?

If/when I get it into system/app how do I set permissions? I can't seem to find out how to change these with the apps I'm using (AirDroid and/or ES File Explorer) Do I need another tool?

Hi,

I've never tested this with a kindle fire but I guess it needs to be rooted if you want to copy it to /system partition. If you can't change the permission be sure that the filesystem is mounted as writeable.
