I manually installed the apk by moving it to system/apps/ and set the permissions to the usual system app settings and it works just fine. Not to many customizations, but really fluid and clean looking. Here's the apk for anyone interested. The only thing that doesn't work is the sphere camera setting.

EDIT: Add these to system/libs for those experiencing issues. (thank Neverendingxsin)

Pretty cool accept is there a way to change storage with this to an SD card? It seems really basic. If not cool either way.

I don't think any device that currently has a 4.2 build for it even have SD card slots, so it makes sense that option isn't included. I would recommend if you're running cm10/aokp that after you paste this into /system/app/ that you reboot into recovery, wipe the dalvik and fix permissions. The first time I tried this I had some rather weird glitches in the gallery, and a force close of the camera. After doing it over again with the dalvik wipe and fixed permissions, everything works fine. Haven't tried the sphere camera yet though.

I suspect not. Apparently this is from the 4 and there are no provisions for an external SD on a 4.

Camera lockups up if I take a picture on mine with CM10 :(

Upon further review, my camera locks up as well and the resulting picture is just all black. Gallery is the only thing working 100%. Just changing to the sphere camera setting causes an immediate FC.

Anyone had success loading this on AOSP or is this like the stock camera that requires touchwiz? Also, i hope the sphere feature gets worked out soon because thats the most exciting new addition

i tried it on Liquid Smooth RC7 and it opened once, i took one picture and after that nothing but FC's :(

Edit: OP you might wanna add these libs to your post, people on androidcentral are saying that adding them to system/libs is helping other things to work :)

So what is not working with the sphere picture taking, it worked for me and I can view the picture. Running BlackBean v6 for reference.

Someone needs to combine those libs into the original file stat! Was thinking about giving this a go but I like saving to my external sd. For some reason I have weird probalems uploading pictures that are saved to the internal storage.

To those who have tried photosphere, what's the total resolution of the picture? Does it get downsized?

It's not working that great for me either. I can actually grab the image using PhotoSphere no problem, but it comes out looking blurry and distorted.

Is there a certain process to follow when taking the picture?

I'm getting a google.android.gallery3d has stopped error when accessing the filter icon from gallery. Anyone else?

Edit: was missing a lib file. Now working.

GNex Version Fixed: Try on S3??

Here's where you can get the fully working version for the GNex.

http://www.droid-life.com/2012/10/31/download-camera-apk-from-android-4-2-photo-sphere-included/

If you follow the trail of creditied links it all points to here:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/ve...-roms-hacks/220830-jelly-bean-4-2-camera.html

I'll fiddle with it a bit and see if I can get it to work on the SGS3 (US Variants), but the S3 has a crazy complicated way of handling the camera hardware so I will probably fail.
