PJ, I have rebuilt your rom from sources yesterday, ROM is quite smooth for real life usage, but I get way bellow these benchmark results (around 2800).
Can you specify the conditions you used to get these ? (I just overclocked to 1.2, no change in governor/io scheduler).

I have customized sqlite, so get more score.

Thank again for the wonderful ROM. But is there anyway to remove the phone signal icon on the notification bar?

This would be great. And if you're at it for the next build can you fix the tearing on the status bar from the recent menu? I know how to fix it but since I can't build I have to ask you. Just have the area in which the recent area end just above the status bar. If it never draws on to of it it can't read. Not a real fix but its something. If you would do this it would be really, really awesome since I have been waiting months and months for this to be fixed. Of course, if you have other priorities I don't care.

cm10 gives my tablet a whole new leash of life!

USB headset works (namely Thermaltake esports shock one)

I have to have the headset plugged before i turn the tab on for it to work. Otherwise, it works perfectly. I've been been waiting for this for so long!

In the settings go to "ROM Control > Status Bar > Signal > Hide Signal Bars"

I'm running his AOKP Jelly Bean ROM at the moment but I think it was the same in the CM10 ROM.

Nope, CM10 and AOKP have different setting. You can't hide the signal bar in CM10 because it doesn‘t have that option in setting.

Hi,

I hope you can help me.

I did have Build 1 (cm-10-20121027-UNOFFICIAL-a500.zip) installed on my A500 and it was working fine.

I noticed there was a Build 3 so I downloaded it, powered down and then started up holding down the power button and volume rocker. Via the menu, I asked it to install build 3 and it did it and showed a completion message.

Unfortunately, on reboot, it just sits at the Cryogenmod circular part of the bootup. I even left it for about 30 minutes with no change.

I then tried re-installing Build 1 but although it says it installs ok, it also sits at the same spot during boot up.

On going into the CWM Recovery menu, I get the following messages at the bottom of the screen:

E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command

E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log

E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log

E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log

E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Go in to Recovery, then Wipe menu, and perform factory reset / full wipe. Make sure to wipe dalvik cache and format flexrom (under mounts and storage menu). Then re-install Build 3 (or Build 1 if you like). It's best to preform factory reset / full wipe when updating to a new ROM. You will need to re-install GAPPS and all your apps from play store.

How stable is this for daily use? How would this compare to the ICS roms floating about?

Because our only problem is still the egl leak problem I would say that this ROM is great for daily rom as long as you don't give the tablet an exhaustive usage for gaming and 3d apps.

Well, randomblame fixed the EGL leak with an AOSP build. It wasn't flashable but by fiddling with the update-script I got it working. I'd say it was a bit more smooth but I didn't test long enough to notice if things like the disappearing lock screen stopped or Chrome stopped burning in a wreck. Maybe pjsports can ask him what sources he used to fix it up for this build. It'd pretty much be golden then.

    AROMA

I made a AROMA package for this nice rom and maybe I make a full rom based on this if time allows me.
For Aroma installer you need to be on one of the following custom recovery's
    ezterry's A500PubRecovery
    or
    TWRP 2.1.3 (not 2.2...)
    or
    Thor 1.7.3
    or
    ra-recovery 3.17 (recovery-ra-iconia-3.17-gnm)

    NOTE:
This may work on other CM10 roms but didn't test.(Probably mods will cause problems due to systemUI and framework differences)

Indeed, great ROM! Thanks for sharing! Quite a bite faster than the other JB ROMs around.

    Best regards, maris

You use EGL libraries from which firmware?

I use EGL from CM10 Preview by waydownsouth and I use sysctl.conf https://github.com/PlayOSS-Dev/andr...mmit/ee5b6b45ec167e527308069327bbe17442db312f

nice, i got it. What about 3G, GPS, brightness sensor?

I have not tried to use 3G, But GPS is working well.
