Official JB should be rock solid, going by the leaks and feedback and our devs optimiizations. the latter ics releases were very very good. their engineers are good. if they havent got black clipping sorted out then it must be a hardware issue.

LSD sounds like a substantial update, 500 mb , did i read that somewhere ? be careful might give you a long hangover

It seems to be clear now that you need a generic or so called developer IMEI for this. Until last week I believed that I had bad luck with mine - and suddenly this changed when getting LSB/LSC.

But: I switched back to the original LSC yesterday and hoped for getting the OTA for LSD.DM - nothing until now. So even the generic IMEI is no garanty for early updates. I think these servers aren't working 24/7.

Now we have to wait for the next dumps of other lucky members.

Warning: a generic IMEI makes it impossible to identify your phone exactly (that's the idea behind your original IMEI) - and so in some countries with some providers you won't get any phone connection.

@Thai dai
Do you have a backup of your EFS partition which contains the developer IMEI?

I think so, but please understand: IMEI and everything related is a delicate thing to do - I will not write or do here in XDA something that might be illegal, not even in PM. I think I understand your interest or intentions but I can't help here.

I tried yesterday. No succes. I think more is needed.
Getting generic imei is easy. Just the pcode and stuff isnt. Not any stock rom dbt with stock efs.img in it. So your efs will be blanked, lot of codes gone
To much work lol and nothing to show for it.

Its easier to have backup of a working one. Lol since its generic sharing is a good idea but prolly illegal as Thai sez

And yes ThaiDai, my intentions were slightly mischievous. (Sorry about that, don't want you getting into any trouble). Maybe you could get your phone into the state BEFORE you received LSB and LSC updates? Then you might get the infamous LSD one

Changing IMEIs and associated discussions are not allowed on XDA. Best to leave that subject alone

Sent from my SG Note i317 via XDA Premium...I eat apples, not use them.
