Let's keep this discussion focused on what it's supposed to be about. CM10.

Last ot post about on battery 8-)
Today all day I use defy with disabled 2g/3g. Sometimes a little wifi usage. Just cc. 25% battery eating from 8 to 19h.
So I think something around 2g should be the problem

To those of you who are bitterly complaining about things like battery life, deal with it! You don't have to use this ROM. If you experience something negative like poor battery life or another bug, politely report it. Ranting and criticizing the developer or other users will not be tolerated. If you're that unhappy with this ROM, use a different one. People like Quarx do this for free and in their spare time, so please act in the appreciative manner that they deserve.

On 28th Nov build with full wipe. No issues with battery. Lasted 35 hrs with moderate 2g only use. My red lens is almost 2yrs old.

Regarding sms restore, i used sms bkp & restore app.

After full wipe try below:

IMP 1 : BEFORE restoring sms, make sure to disable the option of deleting old sms (default is more than 200 /thread) from settings of stock & any other 3rd party app like go sms etc.
Else not all sms will b restored.

IMP 2: Just make sure to keep the display timeout to 30 mins while restoring sms from this app, else smses will be partially restored as restore process stops if phone goes sleep.

SO there is NO issue with the ROM.

Only network drops & random ringtone issues over a period of time. A restart fixes it.

EDIT: I am using boosted governor if it helps...

There definately is. Going back to 18.11. my battery life about tripples. Then changing back to the latest build, I do have battery drain again. And judging from this thread, I'm far from the only one experiencing this.

If you don't believe me and the dozens of otheres reporting this issue, feel free to go back to the 18.11. build yourself and test this, then report back.

And please people, stop derailing this thread with attacking anyone who stumbles upon a bug. It isn't helpful and it really doesn't contribute to the usefulness of this thread.

Thumbs up
After running 17.11.2012, I avoided bluetooth.zip and the following build from 18.11.2012.

Not being happy with 17.11.2012 due to battery life, I went back to 09.11.2012.

Yesterday I flashed 28.11.2012.

What should I tell you?

WLAN drops? No
File copying cancellation? No
Bluetooth not working? No
Ringtones problem? No
Lagging? No
Poor battery life? No

I didn't test tethering and camera sphere.

My device's production date is as of January 2011, MB525, red lens, original battery, 22 months old, daily use/charge.

Here some evidence (screenshots):

edit: dead links to dropbox files removed (see attachments added to this post)

So, once again EXCELLENT work by Mr Qernel

For the battery rants:
There are two types of electrons. The blue ones (= I didn't read and am in a hurry) and the red ones (wisdom). The red ones are more expensive.
You get the red ones in the matrix, you remember?
For all others with battery problems. - Get a new one. But maybe I'm totally wrong.

Or they could try and loose Juice Defender or other wonder making programs. They do only harm, as I've seen many times with my Defy. The battery lasted only 1 day with JD, even after the so called "accomodation period" of JD. So without JD the battery lasts 2-2,5 days once again.

It does for me on 18.11., but it certainly doesn't for me on the latest build. And I don't use JD. So now what? Should I not be able to report this here without being attacked by some ...?

let's make a point:

-first of all, a friend of mine has a HTC Desire S and he's got battery drops as well... so it's a common thing, may not be relater neither to the ROM nor to the device

-this ROM is flash-fast, many times more than the stock... but I don't know why, the launcher scrolling is still laggy on the first scroll after unlocking the phone, with many launchers; it does not happen with the stock rom (although it had a delayed response) nor with other slower phones with CM10 (like the Desire Z)

-as I wrote before, I went back to 18/11: some said that the 28/11 is good after a full wipe, but why should I do a full wipe if 18/11 is good as well? what exactly are the issues that it solves? only the app compatibility problems due to linaro?
