PAULY! YOU SWEET SON OOOOO AAA!!!

Confirmed, Locked bootloader WITH root access! No wiping, no issues, just pure stock Nexus 10 with root access! And too think everyone is saying that the patched exploit since 4.2.1 prevents this & forces >fastboot oem unlock - Not the case folks! On both a WalMart & a Play Store Nexus 10, I have rooted without unlocking & WITHOUT wiping.

FOr those having issues, the USB driver has thrown a few loops.

I find the best way is to manually delete your Android device from Windows Device Manager, then delete the drivers manually via USBDeview & then install the Nexus 4 USB driver or the Naked USB Driver. You have to install it to both the device & to the fastboot device, which means once while in the OS & once while in bootloader. To activate USB debugging for this, you need to go into setting/about device & tap "Android Version" 7 times. That will force show Developer options in the settings menu, where you can select "enable USB debugging".

One you have USB debuggin running & the new drivers installed, just click on Pauly's superboot-windows batch file or call it via cmd windows. Voila...You are unlocked & saved yourself an hour of re-installing apk's or waiting for new back ups via adb.

+1 - Same here!

Very impressed with the solution, worked first time, having unlocked and rooted my N4 (and installed the N4 ADB drivers)

Rooted, Locked, and Happy.
++Rooted and locked Nexus 10 4.2.1. Thanks so much for your work pualobrien.

Also GSLEON3 thanks for heads up about the drivers and the easy to understand explanation and confirmation.

I was expecting a lot more work after reading over other guides for rooting. This was simple, easy, and effective. A week of researching the best way to root and five minutes to actually do it.

Lol no, but im assuming any pie can be baked easily, although I am not saying it would taste good at all.
This is really good though. I recommend it to anyone wanting to root their Nexus 10s

Managed to get root access to my device after I installed the naked drivers. Very simple process. Now I have a rooted, but locked device. The best part is I didnt have to backup/lose my data.

Hi, Do I have to run the batch file with the tablet booted? or in recovery mode?

You need to put your device in bootloader mode. Turn your tablet off, then press the 'volume up' and 'volume down' buttons together with the power button. Hold this for a couple of seconds and your tablet will boot into bootloader mode.
