Couple articles are reporting that the N4 is getting an update and now being shipped with 4.2.2. Still no change log reported. Anyone have the details on when and what we will get in 4.2.2 on the nexus 7?

I just bought and returned the Nyko Playpad because it couldn't connect to the Nexus 7. I searched online and it was a known issue since last year. I read in a Nyko tweet that it was due to the JellyBean update and Google is well aware of it, so yeah there could be something to this, since this Nvidia Tegra contoller has been needing a fix since the last update of it's Nyko Playground app last October.

Supposedly JDP66 is the N10 4.2.2 build that's coming, popping on benchmark sites, prob will be what N7 gets since 4.2.1 on all my devices is JOP40D

Code:
Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 4.2.2; Nexus 10 Build/JDP66) AppleWebKit/535.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/18.0.1025.166 Safari/535.19

That build number is fake. Unless it is a typo...because build numbers have always been 3 letters, 2 numbers, 1 letter: IMM76L, JRO03C, JOP40D, etc.

EDIT: or possibly a placeholder.

Yes, you can expect a letter after the 66.. whether it is fake remains to be seen. Just passing on what information I have seen about it so far over in the N10 forum.

I have been seeing these UA's popping up quite a bit over the last few days, especially at the bench marking sites.

Looks like Android 4.2.2 build JDP66 is out there & likely will be hitting Nexus 10 devices shortly as it is already rolling out to a few Nexus 4 users.

Anyone have the details on when and what we will get in 4.2.2 on the nexus 7?

I'm praying its legit. Google is slacking with its jellybean update. 4.2.1 is dodgy. Bluetooth fixes and Lil performce tweaks would seal it. (Y)

To be honest, they need to fix more than just the bluetooth issue...
Lettuce pray that there's more than 1 fix added...

Bluetooth issues on a tablet are a problem, but on a phone they'd be a deal killer.

My 15 mos. old rooted HTC DI2 running ICS have no issues with Bluetooth, including Skype (soon to replace MSN Messenger, arrrrhhhh) and Google Voice or GrooVe IP when calling, crystal clear. N7 running 4.1.2 on rooted stock rom & kernel is fine, Bluetooth is fine but "playing" now with 4.2.1 - BT is a P I T A - no matter how I try to tweak it, whether I'm using the Jabra or 1 of the 2 Moto headset.

Benchmark-wise, not that I am chasing for a high Quadrant score as the CPU/device is plentiful fast for my purposes without OC/UV - 4.1.2 has clearly the upper hand, whether it's stock rom & kernel or custom rom/factory kernl or stock rom/custom kernel.

Fortunately, Stickmount is working on 4.1.2 with my choice of roms at the moment, MoDaCo's Jr13 with franco - and, it's a "messy" one with the sdcard directory layout for the recovery whereas with 4.1.2 - everything on it is easily accessible for backup & restoring with CWM.

Just my 2 cents, as a disclaimer - YMMV - of course.
