OpenTTD

Mostly working,

Based off 1.3.0-Beta1 r24900

Known Issues:
  • Shortcut on start menu has no icon
  • Installer has no icon
  • Cannot load saves from other computers (LZMA library missing)
  • Version not displayed correctly
  • Unicode fonts will not display correctly

This is is self installing using my own rolled "MiniInstaller", at present MiniInstaller does not have a GUI but installs from a command window,
It creates a shortcut on the start menu, next version will ask.

Download Available here

Thumbs up Re: A parallel Appstore for Windows 8 and RT
Hi Team,

I would like to donate a hosting for a parallel appstore. Please send a msg, I will give you the cpanel username and password. Also, this might be time to think of a domain name I can register one for you. Cheers.

So, a thought I had for MinGW-ish support. Basically, we could create .exe's that take gcc/ld/whatever input and translate them into calls for MSVC's compiler. I admittedly haven't really ever used MSVC's compiler from the command line, but I find it hard to believe that there would be any critical calls that wouldn't have an approximation.

I've been looking in to this as I require such a setup to fix one of the bugs with OpenTTD. XZ requires a cygwin/mingw so I have been looking at how to build a base system up from the ground for it.

I found THIS, but cl uses '/' for options, and msys tries translating all of those into paths. It would probably work far better as a binary, and it doesn't seem to complex.

Hi,

If you would like to create the 7-zip Context Menus, Create the reg keys below... I had to take ownership of the registry directories to add them.

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{23170F69-40C1-278A-1000-000100020000}]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{23170F69-40C1-278A-1000-000100020000}\InprocServer32]
@="C:\\Program Files\\7-Zip\\7-zip.dll"
"ThreadingModel"="Apartment"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHan dlers\7-Zip]
@="{23170F69-40C1-278A-1000-000100020000}"

EDIT1:Also add this - [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\7-Zip]
@="{23170F69-40C1-278A-1000-000100020000}"

Reboot your Surface then you should see the menu when you right click in explorer.

Would it be possible to get that built as a static library?

It required some non-trivial modifications to MinGW's environment and to SDL's makefiles, but I was able to build SDL using GNU make by translating gcc/ld calls to cl/link calls.

I'm going to get it cleaned up and see what all's actually necessary to do then post what I did to get it to work.

I used http://sourceforge.net/projects/cccl/ as the starting point.
