I'm getting this error message when trying to install HTC Sync,(in order to get proper driver\s installed) "HTC Sync manager requires that your computer be running Vista, XP, or NT 4.0". I am running xp pro, 64bit. I can't get the proper drivers installed for adb to work. I need some serious help. Anyone have knowledge of this?
I've used adb with other htc devices but not on this machine as it is a fairly fresh install of win xp. I am pretty sure the problem i'm having is with drivers or the lack of proper drivers. When I plug the phone in to usb it dings, then verizons little ad pop sup, then it goes to install htxc sync, then it errors out. Any help is appreciated.

I finally got it. I'm convinced it was a driver issue.

Go to irc chat and find a dev. I think that is what the OP states should be done if that eroor occurs

Hey I think I was banned when I type in chat it doesn't show up. My question is simple when I get to the part where it says do not proceed if you cant do this. All those commands keep failing. This isn't my first device so not really a noob but this has me stumped. And when I run the exploit I also get a permission error.
