Philosophy: As stock as you can get while maintaining 100% hardware functionality

screenshot21231.png

So, for anyone familiar with my Clean Fuze ROM, this is along the same vein, but WM 6.5 rather than WM 6.1. :) By the way, check there for some cab love.

The basic premise is, just enough to run all the hardware on the device, a couple tweaks for speed, and the cruft removed.

Apps are included to support all the Fuze's hardware. Based on 5.08 AT&T ROM with native WM6.5 nk.exe, cert patched, pagepool patched @ 16mb

Running .NET 2.0 so you'll need .NET 3.5 for any apps that require it. (reason for this is getting started is funky with a solo .NET 3.5 install, working on that)

Comes set up with AT&T MMSC settings and AGPS settings, gprs settings are provided by AutoDataConfig during first boot (you can run it at any time from Getting Started)

Known Issues:

* Backlight might have an issue with the lockscreen, recurring issue w/wm6.5 and raphael

Thanks for the post and all of your work.

How is this ROM different from the 21222 kitchen? Does the not-solite kitchen also include the performance tweaks? That is what I am currently using, but because I am addicted to ROMS, I feel this new one has to be better...

Edit: ^^ asked similar question in different words slightly ahead of me.

Quick question: How is this different from building a ROM from your kitchen with the options you have provided in the list?

I always build a superlite ROM from your kitchen & add cabs later. I am wondering if its worth my effort.

Fantastic...I was having trouble with your kitchen due to it having programs that I didn't want...The notsolite had too much stuff so I'm still tinkering but this saves me the effort...

Excellent! I am still running your "old" 2.06, and have been looking around for another option, since i didn't want to mess with the kitchen. Keep it the good work, i'll be testing this out shortly.

ive removed quite a bit more files/regitry entries than is possible in the wm6.5 kitchen without quite a bit of manual work.. its a new kitchen from scratch :)

wanted to get a build as close to "windows 6.5 stock" as i could without wm 6.5 stock rom to work from, this is it :)

Well I'm going back to the leaked ATT Rom that you stripped down a while ago. The screen rotation from vertical to landscape is very slow on this one, landscape back to vertical is perfect though. Other than that I would imagine that going to .NET3.5 and getting rid of the getting started is a good way to go :) (Really, if you are flashing ROM's do you need the getting started screen?)

Yep, you're right, portrait to landscape is really slow, let's see if I can fix that :)

Gonna leave getting started in, it's only 2 clicks to get rid of, and my goal for this rom is a stock WM6.5 OS + the bare needs to support all hardware, so it fits :) I'll be going to .NET 3.5 as soon as I can get it playing nice with Getting Started..

After I get a chance to clean up the kitchen, I will of course post it, so you can remove Getting Started yourself from \SYS with a simple double click :)

Probably the wrong place to post but.... I tried your new wm 6.5 kitchen and can not believe how noob friendly it is. I know all the hard work was done already for me, more of a re-heat than a cook. But I was very surprised that I could actually do it. I will have to research this some more to gain some knowledge in this endeavor.

Thanks for the experience :D

Now off to try your pre-cooked rom.

I have a few issues with the Wm6.5 rom. I'm just gonna list them:

- Portrait to Landscape is kinda slow

- If you open the message app in portrait to read a message, slide the keyboard open for landscape, reply, then close... the app is displayed in portrait even though you are currently in landscape mode. So the right portion of the screen is all nasty.

- Typing on the keyboard is slower then molasses.

- The included HTC Phone Canvas Slider is whacked in Recent Call logs (pressing the Call button from the homescreen). When you press down to cycle through the recently called numbers, once you go down 3 lines, they all start to blur together and becomes unreadable. I've tried like 5-6 different flavors of the HTC Phone Canvas Slider and they all do this.

- My data connection won't terminate automatically. I have the Titanium Weather Panel and my Email set to check every 30 min... It connects great but leaves the data connection open... eventually causing my data network to be unusable. Once this happens I get permission errors in IE and nothing works. I have to manually terminate the connection and let the program create a new one, or reset. This is probably an easy fix with one of those Diamond Configurators.

- The Start Menu scrolling. It kind of stops short when flicking. If it worked exactly like the contacts app, it would be amazing. I guess it stops to keep the icons from being cut off or something. Just seems the default start menu icon layout takes several flicks to get to the bottom when the contacts only takes a few.

Overall the phone works very very well. I feel the overall snappiness of the phone is very good. The menu's work smoothly and is fantastic.

Fixed the portrait-landscape lag, the keyboard driver doesn't like the slidingsound app being removed :)

I don't have a PhoneCanvas cooked into this rom (that's one of the reasons) it's just not compatible with wm6.5 quite yet.

Start menu scrolling was changed by msft to be that way about 50 builds ago.. it used to scroll like contacts where it never stopped.. now it stops after one 'page'

Uploading a ver w/fixed rotate now :)

Fix -> cab? :)

Rev.2 uploaded, fixed the laggy keyboard/portrait/landscape issue

:)

Thanks for an amazing ROM. Made the jump to 6.5 with RRE Manila, then tried yours when it bugged out on me (ate my battery like I've never seen too)... must say... Raphael and I thanks you =)

Two things though:

1. Could you possibly make a cab with the changes as to layout change... really just a luxury, but just spent 4 hours tweaking and customizing the first version, and well... yeah :)

2. This is not a question only directed to you, but maybe you can help?... I live in Denmark, and my thumb keyb. is in Danish with æøå letters e.g. my layout is different. I don't care if my onscreen keyb is english, but I would really like it, if my thumb keyboard entries were correct... can you/anyone direct me in the right direction on this. Again its "Danish", not "Swedish" ;)

Best

Thanks for the update. Love it to have a stock-ish ROM available. Really like how WM6.5 is comming along. Without the HTC stuff WM actually performs not even that bad, it's just unusable... ;)

Question though, I dont get any further anymore. I put a hand on monx last available WM6.5. I really liked what he did looks wise. Works like that: I dont like the new scrollbar handle in 6.5, its not finished and gives me eye cancer or so when I have to look at it. This is where monx came in, in his ROM he had all the 6.5 eye candy which actually is candy but could get rid of the ugly scrollers. I now tried to find out, how he did it, but I didnt get any further. Attached is a screenshot with his TSK applied to your ROM. On the left my status quo (default 6.1 ballon popup (bad), default 6.1 popup menu (bad, not visible), default scrollers (good) and default softkeys (good)) and on the right the elements I'm trying to get at, copy pasted from an earlier monx screenshot. Can you or anyone else give me some help on that issue?

Hey flipoere, I'm a german user and theres a CAB by shlomsky (?) which turned the hardwarekeyboard from the US-layout to the GER-layout. I guess he can help...! Will check out if I can find the thread...
Nevermind the cab, flipoere, check this out: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=2837568&postcount=1500
It *should* work...

thanks for the rom and the default dialer. :D I've never been a fan of any other dialer except the black, & ugly default dialer from MS but nothing can beat its speed. I cooked myself a clean rom based on your kitchen but I think I'm gonna try this one.
