Re: [ROM][Kernel 3.0.61] CM 10.1 HumberOS Builds Jan 30

Hi,

I've recently updated the HumberOS build on my GT-P1000T from: sgt7-cm10-20121118-HumberOS-p1.zip to: cm-10.1-20130106-HumberOS-p1.zip

On the old build I had I was able to change the color of the text (time) and various icons on the taskbar - does anyone know if it was a feature of the previous build I was runninng or an app like ROM Toolbox Pro or developer settings. The status bar fonts & icons in the previous build looked bigger also.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Kind regards
Paul

You already post this in galaxy tab forum. So why you double post this in a forum where no body can help you... Please ask in the forum related to your device.

Please excuse my ignorance. Haven't posted in a while, and wasn't sure whether the HumberOS had a thread of it's own. Thanks for your help and support. Exceptional detective work also.

Warm regards
Paul

What is new in kernel 3.0.6? I am running it with Pegasus governor and the rom is very smooth. Hope I get a good battery life.

Dude, you can check the changelog at my github.
The 3.0.61 version is a actual stable kernel version made from kernel.org .
So, I think that we'll use all fixes and features from it.

Just, like me!
Enjoy it, dude!

just wondering does anyone here aggressively under volt ? if so i would like to compare voltages and how much extra juice you get :p

From what I had read through xda threads undervolting vary from one CPU to another, for example some can under volt by 100 other can't handle this value and become unstable. So the best way is to under volt by 25 each time and test to see if it is stable until you reach the minimum voltage and the most stable value specific to your device. Any one can correct this if I am wrong.

yeah im aware of that, youre correct :p just wondering if anyone else was under volting and by how much. i can get 100mv less on most frequencies sometimes a bit more but under heavy load it can get unstable, i had a voltage profile on franco kernel but i think i might try make another one and see if its varies much if at all :D thanks for your reply mate

I updated our kernel to 3.0.61 from mainline.

So, I am testing it right now and will build new one (with all official CM updates) soon .

Github

Dude no lie I steal your kernels to run on euroskank since I'm on toroplus and can't get to run this ROM, but seriously on another note, the kernel is SWEEEEEETTTTT

One question tho, I like to run a lil zram due to gaming and such, I noticed that your kernel gives me the option in performance settings but when enabled it doesn't show in terminal after a reboot,

I also noticed that in trickstermod that the option to turn zram on is not available

Hope for a fix in the future if u do feel like its a welcomed addition to an already blistering kernel

Yeah! I know compcache (zram) very well and will enable it in next build.:good:

A kind request. Can you please post your kernel in a flashable zip format?

I will try to do this too. But I prefer build and install a complete rom. Its easier to control.:good:

getting notifications on new build whats the change log ? :p guessing CM Updates mostly

Yes. Just downloaded last build, going to flash it. I think there is a kernel changes also not only CM10.1 updates.

We have ROM updates from CyanogenMod team and kernel updates too.

You can check kernel updates at my github:

I lost the tags between 1.0 and 1.5. Sorry! I need to learning more about git. T_T

Enjoy!

Dude, you can update OP by adding these features below:

NTFS Support
CIFS Support (network filesystem)
ZRAM

Thanks dude!
Let's move on!

Sorry but github is some what mysterious to me so I couldn't get all the changes and I am afraid to write something then discover it is wrong...

Thank you very much for the great work
For me I still could get a minimum of 4 and half of screen time and enjoying a good battery life.
For better battery life I did the following:
1- I use the default values foot the display " color multiplier and color gamma tuning" this make the display dimmer so increase the battery life.
2- using autorun manager to disable any unneeded receivers. Search and read to see it's work.
3- using inverted Gapps " black background with white text" and dark themes for other apps and even using minimalistic black home screen background.
4- I don't know if this has a significant impact on battery but I don't use Facebook or Yahoo messenger because I had them installed in another device.

    Hey @all!

I was using 230MHz as min frequency on ICS and got good results for battery life.

So, I just added it back in to 4.2.1.

    Let's test it. :good:

    Uploading new package.

    Accelerometer calibration

    New build!:good:

    Features:

    Enjoy!

Lol. A while back someone made this mod which was said to eliminate 99% of android's lag. Something about making random not being so random. It gave a speed boost, but it acted like the performance governor, always staying at the highest frequency which also equaled high battery drain.

    Yeah, you're right!
After many tests then I can confirm that is just a placebo!
I removed all rng (seeder) scripts from my builds.
