- losing my CWM backups, this happened when I upgraded CWM versions and I did factory and cache wipes
The backups were in
/storage/emulated/legacy/clockworkmod/backup
It took some searching but this is where to copy them for CWM 6.0.2.3 to be able to see them:
/mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod/backup
Hopefully this info will help someone here.
It gives an md5 mismatch error when I try to restore though. I cannot do the md5 file fix because there is no md5 file just:
- system.ext4.dup
- recovery.img
- boot.img
The backup folder name is free of spaces:
- 1970-02-07.17.32.51
Update:
I did the fix for md5 and it worked, sort of:
# cd /mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod/backup/1970-02-07.17.32.51
# md5sum *img > nandroid.md5
Then I rebooted to recovery, factory wipe, wiped caches, and format /system. Then I tried to recover from my backup, the md5 passed this time:
Erasing boot before restore....
Restoring boot image...
Restoring system....
Error while restoring /system....!
These backups were taken with the original CWM 6.0.1.9 and that version was broken. So I think my backup, which I moved to my PC for safekeeping, is useless.
Update 2:
Ohoh in trying different combinations of formatting and wiping things, I accidentally wiped my internal SDcard! My e971 doesnt have an external sd slot so I need to figure out a way to get a rom onto the internal SD card. Maybe I can do it with ADB...
Update 3:
ADB worked when in CWM
