Any chance this will work on my device? Running stock firmware with custom recovery and rooted. My device is the:
INTERNATIONAL GSM [GT-N7100] Android 4.1.1 [Build JRO03C ALJ1]

Odp: [MOD] Disable increasing ringtone XXALJ1

I can't rename secphone file... It says it's system file.
Device rooted of course, and tried to rename with root explorer and total commander.
RW-R-R by default (read only) and can't change it either.
What to do next?

Ps, i have deodex and apk files and now i don't even know for sure what type i really have.

Hi guys.

Just modified the Secphone.apk to disable the increasing ringtone, which drives me crazy.

For XXALJ1 Odex / Deodex

For Odex:

- Go to system/app
- Rename SecPhone.apk and SecPhone.odex to SecPhone.apk.bak and SecPhone.odex.back
- Unzip my SecPhone.apk and copy it to system/app
- Change the permissions to RW- R-- R--
- Reboot

For Deodex:

- Go to system/app
- Rename SecPhone.apk to SecPhone.apk.bak
- Unzip my SecPhone.apk and copy it to system/app
- Change the permissions to RW- R-- R--
- Reboot

Download

Enjoy!

Link Broken Please Fix asap will this work on Rooted Stock Rom ?

This Worked For me with no Modifications but just a Simple Fix by installing the APK and enable the Module in Framework :)

Disables the increasing ringtone when there's an incoming call.
Works by disabling AudioManager.setStreamVolume for a volume of 1 when there's an incoming call, so should probably work for any device that has Samsung's SecPhone.apk.
Tested on Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7100) and Galaxy SII (GT-i9100) with the new Jelly Bean update.
