For those experiencing syncing and build errors on CM10.1 4.2.2 - and that's everybody, I assume - try to do this
and tell me if it fixed things for you:

Code:
cd cm10.1/.repo/repo

git pull

Hello.... Great guide... However... I'm stuck behind a proxy which requires authentication...
I've worked my way around most snags.. But i can't repo the git source.
Even after I set the proxy and username password using export,
it still doesn't work. Says connection timed out.
Help please

To me it says after cd: no such file or directory, should I create one?

Make clean then start your build
Or you can make cleaninstall or installclean

Hi there,

after a lot of tries I was finally able to compile Cyanogenmod from source. So, thanks for your guide an your support.

Now, I would like to go deeper in compiling CM. First I would like to change from Superuser to SuperSU. So, I read some posts:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1792274

http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_adding_your_own_app

http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_U...ocal_manifests

But I guess I still didn't find the answer.

May someone be so kind a give me an advice how to begin?

EDIT: Okay, got it:

1.) Download the UPDATE-SuperSU-vXXX.zip from the OP http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053

2.) Unpack this file AND your built cm-10.1-XXX-UNOFFICIAL-XXX.zip

3.) Now overwrite the file system/app/Superuser.apk with the file from your UPDATE-SuperSU-vXXX.zip (same path!) and set the permission to 644 (by using chmod)

4.) Overwrite also system/xbin/su and set the permisson to 06755

5.) ZIP your cm-10.1-XXX-UNOFFICIAL-XXX files again and install this with CWM/TWRP.

Thanks a lot.

MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS ON OFFICIAL LATEST CYANOGENMOD ROM

What does this exactly mean? Do I have to flash the latest official nightly everytime before I start to build my own ROM? Or does this only mean that the "blobs" must fit only the exact Android version?
