Just thought I would ask the question, has anyone got sky go to work on there custom ROM? Here's what to do if you have just rooted your kindle and not installed a custom ROM!

You need to have root on your stock kernel/ROM.

1. Install root explorer
2. Modify build.prop in the system folder....(where it says amazon kindle fire 2 replace it with Galaxy Nexus, where it says android on the next line replace it with Google) exit and save and reboot.
3. Download ota rootkeeper and temp unroot
4. Download sky go and away you go.

As I said if anyone can get this to work on rooted custom ROM let me know

Edit.... BTW I'm not using a nexus its my kf2

any chance of a screen shot of how the build.prop should look?

Mine has reference to KFOT, Kindle, Amazon, Blaze Tablet. Tried changing a few different fields but still had no joy getting sky go from the play store (Gplay3.8.17.apk) - I get the error "device not compatible with this version"

which exact fields need changing?

Or am I doing something else wrong?

I've rooted my kindle and not installed a custom ROM. The only addition I've made is Apex Launcher.
