TL;DR: Logcat for missed call. Delivery method?

----------

Went to get a logcat, and essentially, it seems a bit unnecessary now for the Note 2 camera issue. I cannot duplicate the FCs. Now it takes pictures fine.

For the missed call issue, seems that as pointed out in an earlier post, the phone is receiving the call, but is not doing anything about it. I have a logcat that was from when the call came in to when I was sent to voicemail (from the other line, obv). OP / Dev, if you would like it, lemme know what method you prefer me to use to deliver it.

for the missed calls, use the above link and DL that lib.zip and extract the files to system/lib like the instructions say and set the permissions.. reboot and this should fix yhour missed calls issue.. it worked for me (and there is no + sign in front of calls either if you had that).

Everything is working just perfectly except for there is no sms bubble when I have a new text, iv looked in setting and haven't find a option involving bubbles or anything. Just seeing if that is normal or what?

Anyway, great rom :D

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium

are you using Nova? i know with Nova i can get those bubbles, but it requires another DL app to show all the amounts (bubble showing number of new text/email/etc) for that.. or are you talking about when text comes in it pops up the message so you can quick reply etc?

Hm, not sure about the activation message. Go to settings, about phone, status, and see if your IMEI is visible or if you see 00000. Had something similar happen on 14.1, but all is well now.

If that doesn't work, try reflashing the modem. If that doesn't work, I'm all out of ideas (besides re-flashing).

i did that.. my IMEI is there and everything.. why t his is so wierd :( as stated, using airplane toggle and hitting home button gives me the LTE (though the whole time phone booots i am getting all incoming notifications and everything as well) and i can send/receive sms and now phone.. i think if i dont toggle airplane, i can receive texts but it instantly fails to send. i have to toggle and then it works just fine

rom running great other than that.. think i will suffer through it for now and keep it as my DD... great battery and smooth.. just gotta decide if i want kt2/19 or keep ziggy

Re: [ROM][UNIVERSAL][4.1.1][RLS16] █║ GalaxyMod ¯`•._ Simple. Elegant. Brilliant.

Anyone got per-app DPI working? It just crash on me when I click on any app. I'm on 240dpi, trying to set note2 camera to run in 320 as there is no mod so far to run in 240. ( there is 240mod for note2 camera on note2, but not on gs3, or I can't get it working)

Go into the location setting and check mobile network and standalone. Then download faster GPS from the market, open it and set to your location. Reboot and try again.

You need this: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=37985704. It fixes that issue, I believe.

Also, you may want to follow up with this: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=38270577&postcount=868. You may notice that you're not receiving calls. This should fix the issue that blocks incoming calls from showing up.

The first one fixes the LTE Data issues not the activating message issue that he stated as it is the same thing for me..

However, after doing the 2nd one for the lib.zip files to fixe the incoming calls issue, i have not had the activating message again.. what i did was added the lib files, rebooted i had the activating, i let it run for a min, toggled the airplane mode and then it gets a fail message.. i tried the "try again" and it rebooted the phone and gave me the activating again, ,i did the same toggle and again it failed, but this time i just hit cancel. since then, i dont think i have had the activating message.. however, i still have to toggle airplane mode upon reboot/startup as i can receive texts, but instant fail on sending.. so just a simple toggle of airplane mode solves that.. just a bit of annoyance..

also, to confirm the above person with the DPI.. i set my phone to 241 (using Nova) and rebooted.. i think i got a soft reboot once and since then phone been ok.. i been messing with some of the apps and noticed the camera has the bars accross the video portion so i went into the per-app dpi manager to change the camera and when i click on the camera to change, it FC's.. this a known bug? or does the per-app have an issue running at the 240's dpi settings maybe? can someone that is running at the default 320 try going in and see if it works on the camera?

thanks

Are your APN settings correct? If they are then try *#2263# and make sure its set to automatic. thats all I can suggest

Wow worked for me I set it to LTE all and I'm getting 4glte around 8-9 Mbps not bad but only real I'm having with this ROM is that the battery life is terrible I'm getting around 5hrs of battery life with limited use and the charging takes a life time to build up I'm using deviant kernel right now because KT kernel made ROM crash quite often and stock Ziggy kernel crash every 4-5 minutes any long life kernels out there please suggest

yes this fix worked perfect on my S3 ATT I747 there's not more plus + sign before the call even now i can use the call log thanks!!!

+1 on this. This only minor issue I have is that my phone thinks it is a Galaxy Nexus. I did check the build.props to make sure I changed it back to Samsung for the google wallet install, but that doesn't appear to be the problem.

This ROM is officially my DD.

AT&T device user and I noticed the following on Galaxymod:
1) LTE fix must be applied to avoid band switching and dropout (3G, H+, LTE)
2) Google voice users will need to go to the website to reactivate phone as selecting within call settings causes carrier issues and LTE fix to reset
3) Location services for AT&T users (tower triangulation, no gps, no wifi) is non existant (Verizon based).

This is the first ROM that convienced me to root and apply for my S3.
Overall the ROM is amazing (FAST, lt pie, multiview, note2 cams), but because the developer doesn't have an AT&T device, there are definite usability issues for us.
I noticed similar multi carrier supported ROMs have issues with AT&T base devices (Synergy ROM).
I would love to see this ROM built on an AT&T BASE UCDLK3. I'll continue to use and report anymore issues for AT&T devices.

    -----------------------------------------------------------
    Using the V6 Supercharger
    -----------------------------------------------------------
This ROM comes with a V6 Supercharger binary that lets you immediately run the script through a terminal. You can run the script from either inside the ROM or by using ADB shell, both of which are extremely easy to do. If you have the Terminal Emulator app on your phone, do the following:
    Code:
    su
    v6
That's it! Once you let the script run, just keep pressing "enter" and the occasional "y". Custom supercharger settings will be applied to the ROM that will make it speedier than ever. If you prefer to use ADB shell, then open a terminal on your computer and cd to the directory where you have ADB. Then it's pretty much the same thing as above. Type:
    Code:
    adb shell
    su
    v6

    --------------------------------------------------------------
    Using the Kickass Kernelizer
    --------------------------------------------------------------
I have turned zeppelinrox's Kickass Kernelizer into an executable binary that can be enabled via the terminal just like the custom V6 Supercharger binary. This mod does a series of things, most of which would take a lifetime to explain. What you can expect from this script is better performance and possibly better battery life. This also comes with a risk of unwarranted bootloops though I have yet to encounter any. If you choose to use this script, please state that you are when submitting a bug. If you would like to learn more about this mod, zeppelinrox has linked to some insightful documentation which you can read here:
To start the script, open a terminal emulator and type:
    Code:
    su
    ka

If you're on a computer type:
    Code:
    adb shell
    su
    ka

    ---------------------------------------------------
    Calibrating your battery
    ---------------------------------------------------
Another script of zeppelinrox made into an executable binary for your convenience. This is pretty much self-explanatory so just run the script in the terminal or via your computer by typing:

    Code:
    su
    bc

    OR

    Code:
    adb shell
    su
    bc

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Create a nandroid using the terminal
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hats off to ameer1234567890 for developing this tool. Creating a nandroid via the terminal is now painless and easy thanks to him. Just like the V6 Supercharger, you can run the script either using a terminal emulator or ADB shell. More info on this script can be found HERE

    From a terminal emulator:
    Code:
    su
    onandroid

    From ADB:
    Code:
    adb shell
    su
    onandroid

Words from the developer, "The following will be backed up to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup":

    Code:
    boot
    recovery
    wimax
    system
    data
    cache
    datadata
    efs
    .android_secure
    sd-ext

    --------------------------------------
    Multi-DPI support
    --------------------------------------
This ROM has been modified to support different DPI settings, however don't expect it to be at the level of Paranoid Android. I still have yet to figure out per-app DPI, but as of right now you should not get any force closes or unexpected behavior when changing the DPI. There may be graphical glitches. Be careful, in my testing the phone would NOT boot with a DPI lower than 165. To be safe, I would suggest using a DPI of 180-220 if you plan on changing it. Make sure you do not set the DPI above the max which is 320. Doing so would result in a non-booting device.

To change the DPI open the build.prop using an app like Build.prop Editor and edit the following:
    Code:
    ro.sf.lcd_density=320
Change "320" to whatever value you want, but be careful. Reboot the device when you have made the changes.

Do not post a bug report if you changed the DPI. Some apps may not work with well with a DPI lower than 320.

    -------------------------------------------------------
    Forced GPU UI rendering
    -------------------------------------------------------
I decided to remove the entire soft-rendering (CPU) pathway from the ROM to achieve smoother graphical performance. For those who don't know, 2D graphical rendering is generally carried out by the CPU which is also tasked with taking care of tasks in the OS and the hardware. Generally, the CPU can handle the graphical rendering just fine, but in doing so, time is taken away from task management. So essentially, the GPU is offloading the graphics processes from the CPU making the OS smooth and efficient. If you experience bugs with any app you download, there will be a .zip in the Downloads section that will revert this mod.

    -----------
    Cron
    -----------
First off, cron is amazing. If you have ever used Tasker then cron will feel very similar to you. Cron is a Unix time-based job scheduler that is used to carry out various tasks defined by the developer. In the case of this ROM, cron is used to drop and clean the cache every day meaning your device will stay fast forever and you will most likely never have to manually flush your phone again. A manual flush = reboot, cache wipe, etc.

By dropping the cache the system will wipe the pagecache, dentries, and inodes (file system data structure) - freeing up memory in the device. If that wasn't enough, the cache will be cleaned, deleting everything from the /cache partition.

Of course, cron is not limited to dropping and cleaning caches. It can be used to create scheduled backups of certain files and/or data. It's just that those features have not been implemented.

    ----------------------------------------
    Odex vs. De-odex
    ----------------------------------------
In simplest terms, an odexed ROM is more difficult to modify, but is more RAM friendly. Odexed ROMs also have a shorter boot time. De-odexed ROMs on the other hand are easier to theme and modify.

    AT&T LTE SMS/MMS/Phone Fix

As an update, I think I have finally figured out the solution to the LTE/Call errors everyone has been experiencing on all the Verizon ports - at least the GalaxyMod and Synergy. There are certain config files that AT&T users (especially) need b/c of the unique LTE data/radio combo AT&T uses.

In order to restore this function, you need to copy the following files from a stock based rom (any ROM that is i747 native, and does not have a multi-carrier installation method). I had a couple of different roms on my external SD card, unzipped them, then rebooted into TWRP, mounted the system folder and opened the file manager to copy from the i747 Rom files (listed below) I unzipped to they active /system folder's appropriate sub-folders.

Copied the following files from the unzipped Rom on my ExtSD -> to -> the same respective folders in the active rom's /System folder (Ex. extSD/XYZ Rom/System/lib copy to /System/Lib )

    system/lib folder
    libsecril-client.so
    libril.so
    libril-qcril-hook-oem.so
    libril-qc-qmi-1.so
    libreference-ril.so

    system/etc folder
    apns-conf.xml

    system/csc folder
    contents.db
    customer.xml
    default_workspace.xml
    feature.xml
    others.xml
    sales_code.dat

I'm not sure that 100% of all the files are needed, but I transferred those and it worked perfectly, so I'm leaving it alone. I also have the AOSP MMS.apk and SecTelephonyProvider.apk installed - that may be a factor, but I don't think so. Everything else is completely untouched from the fresh flash for AT&T, including the Ziggy Kernal provided in the flash. Again, this is just the process I did after weeks of research and and finally narrowing certain errors and problems down to these files. I'm not guaranteeing this will solve your LTE problem, it could be region specific or dependent on something else on my phone, but I don't think so. Also, this is just my experience on my i747 for AT&T, but I would think that this will work for any carrier (provided you're on the same carrier).

I hope this really helps everyone that has been experiencing the Phone Call/SMS/MMS problems while in LTE mode. The ROM is great and with every feature working perfectly, it is very reliable. Kudos to the developers!

If I remember anything else, I'll update it tomorrow.

    _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Alright everyone - I created a flash file for everyone to use. I included the files I used on my personal phone and it's working perfectly.

As always, flash at your own risk. I'm not responsible, in any way, for what you flash, copy, fiddle with, poke, molest or otherwise screw with on your phone....

THIS IS FOR USA AT&T SGH-I747 GALAXY SIII USERS ONLY - Users on other carriers should follow the post above, which I originally posted last night.

I highly recommend flashing this after a fresh install of the newest ROM in the OP, prior to booting for the first time. But, it seems that others have had equal success after already using the rom.

BACKUP YOUR ROM AND DATA BEFORE FLASHING!

    Instructions:
    1 - Reboot into recovery
    2 - Wipe Cache/Davik
3 - Flash AT&T LTE Fix zip file you just downloaded
    4 - Reboot and enjoy.

    Download the zip here: http://www.mediafire.com/?boz13r8dcv23sb6

As I stated yesterday, this worked for me and has for others. The fix may be regional based and not work for everyone. If you have LTE/Phone/SMS/MMS problems on stock based ROM's, then this will not help you - that is an AT&T issue in your area.

This either works for you, or it doesn't. Please don't PM me asking to assist if this did not help you - there are MANY, MANY, MANY reasons that you may be having problems and I can not wave a wand and identify the specific cause for everyone. Enough people have had perfect results after using this to know that this will help the majority of users.

Once again, THANK THE DEVELOPERS OF THIS ROM! They were the masterminds that allowed us to enjoy a great ROM w/ working MultiWindow. This is just a fix for AT&T users that are in LTE zones - allowing the Inbound/Outbound Phone Calls, SMS and MMS to work.

    Enjoy!

    RLS16

This build has many features unlocked and some were just added in for a better and more unique user experience. Bug fixes have been made that hopefully have addressed issues such as GPS and GSM APNs. I say "hopefully" because the testers as well as myself have not yet run into any issues with GPS. I also, could not test the APNs on GSM devices so if you are on AT&T or T-Mobile please bear with me. More features and bug fixes will be added in the future. Also, some apps have already been given superuser permissions so if you don't see a dialog prompt asking you to grant or deny permissions, don't freak out. Note that with the Performance Control app, the Min frequency will display as about 1000MHz. This is only a display issue, the minimum frequency will sit at whatever you set it.

Before we get to the download link, this needs to be understood by everyone so we don't have any more complaints about lockups:

Upon first boot you MUST either disable the ripple effect or change back to the default lockscreen or else you will experience a lockup if you lock your device while in landscape mode. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I WILL NOT REPEAT THIS.

    Did you read everything?
