I only know the answer to #3.. either hboot file is fine from my understanding they are the same..

I would assume that flashing ROMs will not change any splash screens and I am pretty sure that if you are on a stock non-ENG hboot then you cannot flash those splash screens..

hopefully someone who knows can answer the rest of your questions

If I flash back to the stock HBOOT, will I lose my custom Splash Screen with no red writing?

Question 2:
If I do flash back to Stock HBOOT, which one do I flash? I have two files, a 1.15 and a 2.04. If it helps, I never did the official OTA.

Question 3:
When I change ROMs or do a ROM update that requires me to do a full wipe, will I always have to reflash my custom Splash Screen? And I assume that if I have flashed back to stock HBOOT, I likely would not be able to flash that custom Splash Screen right?

OK, that's all for now.

Thanks in advance!

1. You won't lose the custom splash screen, but the red writing will come back.

2. If you didn't take the OTA and/or don't have the new radios, use the 1.15 HBOOT to be safe.

3. Wiping in recovery and changing ROMs do not affect the HBOOT partion or the splash screen, but you are correct, if you go back to the stock HBOOT, you won't be able to change the splash screen.

Just to be on the safe side,

old radios = old HBOOT

new radios = new HBOOT

ok so i decided to get this another go, and this time it starts to flash the new eng hboot, but on the progress bar it doesnt go all the way to 100 it stop at about 85-90% and just stay there, so my question is do i need to wait for the progress bar to complete even though the cmd says that the bootloader was successful?

Just boot into your bootloader and look for "ENG HBOOT". You should see it towards the top potion of writing.

Yeap you're good to go. After you reboot, reboot to hboot and you'll have an hboot which means it worked.
