What do u mean? Those who r on the ota are sol at this point n time. Because without supercid, this s-off wont work. Correct me if im wrong.

If you are unlocked then take the ota, the s off method will still work for you, it's not the s off method that's not working for ota, its supercid.

What he's saying is that the soff process would work fine on the ota if you have supercid. This is important because that means the soff method isn't "fixed". Big difference. I'm thankful for that because a normal root exploit could still get us soff.

no, not entirely true, the only reason this worked in this case is because of the SuperCID exploit... the next one might be different where it will only get you root but not s-off or vice versa (because they are two completely different processes) well if you get s-off first then it would be possible to root but not the other way around.

OK now that I have s-off what can i do with it. Seems like it was something important to have but i read the whole thread and dont know what it does.

Flash radios, flash kernels in recovery, flash splash screens if you have the eng hboot, and fully return to stock.
