What kernel did you use for this? Cus I had flashed the one on the I9100 forum around an hour ago and it booted up fine, but then when I hellraised AJK and STI kernels both didn't work (and yes, I used the AOSP version).

Same here AJK and STi kernels dont boot on this rom...i used the kernel from my old release...i think its the official MIUI kernel...and also this is the official Rom for i9100 ported to i777...
i am using it since yesterday...dint find it laggy or even no bugs found yet...lemme know if any1 has found any bugs on this...

OP updated with links...

Oh alright, if it's the official MIUI kernel then it should be great. I just see "CM" in the kernel title and assume it's slow lol. Haven't had very performance oriented experiences with CM kernel in the past. Appreciate the port and smart thinking. I'll be daily driving this probably for the next month or so unless I encounter problems. Looking forward to updates :p

Will follow up with any bugs

Mines been working fine! I actually have had from what I can tell, better than average battery life. Haven't been on a MIUI rom since mid-ICS but the battery life definitely seems better. I'd say it's at least no par with TW roms so far. I didn't have to do any tweaks or anything though, so might've been a janky install for you. Not sure.

I'll admit, I'm very picky when it comes to performance, but I have noticed a few situations where the UI will lag (quick scrolling, animation following quick scroll, etc.) but it's probably cus of the early development. Whenever STI Kernel updates to include this (if it does - I'm assuming he will) I'll flash that, and it'll probably help with those situations. It's nothing that annoys me so far

Hahah you're pickier than me man. V4 pissed me off too much for me to go back to it. It took them literally until the end of it's development to get it from being irritable. Performance was so bad in terms of general fluidity. It was probably because it was built on Samsung base for the first time, I'm assuming. cMIUI was the only bearable V4 I had found. Although Asnet is pretty good now, but now V5 is out lol.

I'm gonna try the Deutsch/English build again (Remove all the bloat that guy put in....like 20 apps). The english in this version is very crudely done. Voice assistant is still chinese, various things in chinese, my texts on lock screen are European time format, etc. German/English one has better english/formatting. Do you mind uploading the kernel you used for this?

You're talking bout the notch in the top left corner? Seems good enough to me. Try taking off "rounded corners" which is under developer settings.

I just realized that turning off rounded corners only works for certain things like the home screen status bar, and apps like facebook, etc. It does not change the settings menu, or messaging, etc. So you might have to deal with the weird looking dpi. Or stick with default ;)

I guess there will be no updation of this thread :(

Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda premium

OP undated with links...Sorry for the long wait...

Xiaomi are having a 7-day holiday during Oct 1st to 7th for China’s National Day.
So there will be no daily or weekly update next week.
We will be back with daily updates from Oct 8th and weekly update on Oct 11th

Sorry for the inconvenience. Hope you can understand. Happy holidays!

    latest Version uploaded till 3.9.27
    3
sure..till version 4.4 all working fine...since ver 4.5/.6 phone hangs a lot and gets heated up...also when i connect it to storage mode...it automatically disconnects...all this happen when the multi lag pack is added...comming to 4.7 phone never boots up to the rom...it shows black dim lit screen...but works fine on stock miui kernel...btw right now no issues encountered on 4.8 ver...

AJK v4.9 has fixes & tweaks to make it work better with MIUI. I have ran AJK v4.9 with MIUI v3.9.20 for over 24 hours straight and it runs great.

Please remember - any issues that you may have after flashing additional things (such as the multi-language pack) are NOT caused by the kernel. The kernel has nothing to do with lang pack at all, that is only a ROM function and any issues that are present are due to the language pack itself.

Also, please remember that you MUST use AJK's /system/usr/keylayout/sec_touchkey.kl and /system/xbin/ntfs-3g files or there will be issues.

badblood_antony: I have MIUI v3.9.20 hellraised for the SGH-I777, including AJK v4.9 and the necessary files. If you'd like to try them out let me know and I will PM you the link later tonight.
