Nice guide! I noticed that in your instructions you decided to skip setting up the environmental path variable to include the platform-tools and tools folders, and just opted for creating a cmd prompt shortcut with the proper current directory settings instead, however if you ever wanted to include this in your guide - you can easily append the sdk platform-tools and tools folder to your systems environmental path variable directly from command line by simply issuing one command and performing a system reboot:

Code:
SETX PATH "%PATH%;SDK_Install_Path\platform-tools;SDK_Install_Path\tools" -m
Just replace the "SDK_Install_Path" in the above with the proper path of your SDK installation. Example: C:\android-sdk-windows

Easy - Boot your phone into sideload and then type this:

Code:
adb start-server
adb sideload <Path-to-.zip-file>
or
adb sideload "<Path-to-.zip-file>"

Hope I could help!

Oh. Speaking of which, could you add the sideload functions, as well? Thanks!

If you're stuck in a bootloop between roms or something went wrong you can use -wait for device- , it will listen for a chance to enter the command to the device.
Code:
adb -wait for device- reboot recovery
adb -wait for device- reboot download
adb -wait for device- reboot fastboot
It's saved me when hardware button combinations just didn't seem to want to work, and the timing is done by the computer. I've only used it on Samsung devices.. Captivate/Vibrant/gsm GSII series and on my n7100.

Also worth mentioning is that for people that can't get path working, in windows vista/7 you can navigate to the folder you have adb in and hold shift+right click, select open command window here. that way you don't have to navigate with cd commands.

Good tricks to know!

iamareebjamal - Very good guide. One suggestion I have is that the entire SDK need not be downloaded to use basic adb commands. Only three files are required - adb.exe, AdbWinApi.dll and AdbWinUsbApi.dll. Would save casual users a lot of time (and disk space).

Oh, yeah - These colors are more readable.

Can't remember where I picked this up, I just keep it on my flash drive I carry..It's a portable adb, has those three files and a batch thingy. to use double click on the batch. It's attached.

Go to /system/etc/init.d

Either delete kurotweak1 or if you want to keep it

Open it in a text editor and search and delete this line

Code:
rm /dev/log/main
