Any chance that this ROM is compatible with the stock boot.img? I've tried all the other ones here and unfortunately it doesn't work on my phone. :/

I used twrp on my Wildfire S, didn't like it all that much, but that was awhile back. Remember I am pretty new to the Desired C, so I used what I knew, a little paranoid to brick my phone. I was thinking of trying nikhil's twrp after seeing it in his signature, so I will definitely give it a try. Thanks for the advice mate.

Edit: Oh and don't forget to support us on the email to htc a.k.a Operation "ath6kl_sdio.ko thread.:D

Edit Edit: oops sorry mate I see you already there, nice one.

Quick question, please! It does not show in the installation instructions that we must wipe /data, /cache, /system, or some other partition before flashing the ROM... does that mean we don't need to do it? Does the updater-script inside the .zip automatically do it? Or is it completely unnecessary? TIA! ;)

When in doubt, wipe it out.:D Imo any new flash should be wiped first if you want the best and cleanest install.

OKay guys I have been looking at the lockscreen, i have found the assets for it. I think it will need resizing in order for the passcode lock not to e cut off, i will keep you updated if anything good happens with it. :)

During install the Aroma asks you if you want to do a clean or dirty install , you just choose which you want to do ,I've never had any issue with it :good:

Somewhere you can't imagine...
Hey guys I am proud to announce my new release of ReVolution MOD, this release will bring it up to v3.5 there will soon be released with tweaks etc... Soon. ;)

Anyway for now this is the feature changes:
  • All new ReVolution mod wallapapers
  • Kingbeats, without EQ is included by default
  • The new dialer, with number prediction
  • All new Revolution Rom stats app, there will be more about this below.
  • Slightly slimmed down code
  • Maybe more stuff. :p

I bet your wondering, why a revolution stats app? Well there is a valid reason, it is based on CM sources and sends exactly the same data CM does, so what does it send?

Device hash: which is an MD5 hash of the IMEI (or wifi MAC, if imei is unavailable for some reason)
Device name: the property "ro.product.model" of build.prop
Device version: the property "ro.build.display.id" of build.prop
Country: from the Android API, getNetworkCountryIso
Carrier: from the Android API, getNetworkOperatorName
Carier ID: from the Android API, getNetworkOperator
ROM Name: from the newly added property "ro.romstats.name"
ROM version: from the newly added property "ro.romstats.version"

in addition to this data, the database has an extra 2 columns:
First registration date: the first time the device registered on the server
Last check-in date: the last time the device (with same device hash) checked in, to remove inactive devices after X days

Lets thank mcbyte_it, for both the base web code and for the base app code too. :)

The ap has been changed to suit the revolution rom series, as you can see there is no personal information being sent at all. You have a choice to opt-in or out it would be nice to have as many users as possible opting in, as the information will make the revolution rom series a whole lot better. :)

You can grab the Normal Revolution MoD Zip from here: Link

If you have Network problems try the fixed APN package here: Link

Enjoy.

Edit you can see the website where to data is submitted here: Link

I read an earlier post about the apn issue, but I didn't quite understand the problem. I know that if you delete the htc apps then the data won't connect, I just don't understand why.

    Download the ReVoluTioNMoD Rom

The download link for the newest release is: Link

Those with data issue or are not sure about it...
If it is your first time installing this Rom, and are not sure about your data working install the APN patched version just below here:
    • Fixed Data
    • HTC setup is re introduced on this version, remember there are two versions now, one with the APN fix which requires a patch after setup, and another without the fix, which works fine for alot of people too
This fix would not be here without the help of my friend neoyoli, who tested the new fix, and confirmed it working.

Now before you guys ask, the Patch to revert the Rom back to AOSP will be uploaded soon, but do not apply the patch UNITL you are FULLY setup with DATA working, to ensure no further problems. I am highlighting the main words in Capitals, because if you don't do this data will have issues.

Now without out a further a due here is the patch, you can grab it here: Link

    How to install?

Well first of all are you sure you have a HTC Desire C? If you are certain you do, then proceed with the steps below...

    1. First Download the Rom from the link provided above...
Once that is done, copy the zip file to your phones SD Card
Now this step isn't a must, but if you want your WIFI to work, you need to flash a boot.img, you can see how to do this below:

There are two ways you can do this, if you want to do it in very simple steps, use the boot.img flashing tool located here: Link

However if you wish to know the commands required to flash the boot.img, follow these simple steps just below here:
      Code:
       Fastboot flash boot boot.img
      Code:
      fastboot erase cache
      Code:
      fastboot reboot
    2. Once you have flashed your boot.img, reboot into your recovery and flash the Rom, by using the "flash zip" option
    3. Enjoy your new ReVoluTioNMoD Rom
    18
    Bugs:
    • No caller ID, this is due to the AOSP dialer, once the call screen is ported it will fix this issue. Squashed Now, suck it!
