Don't update boot , I would advise doing s off if you feel comfortable. If you update using ota you will probably brick your phone and at very least loose ability to root and have custom roms. Just my advice I hate reading horror stories

Thanks for the advice. I already am S-Off, I did that as soon as I got the initial OTA notice from AT&T. They gave me the option to defer the install for 8 hours, which I utilized in running the facepalm method.
I was just curious as to if the 2.14 Hboot firmware update improved anything for the phone, or if it just contains all the new locking codes from the wardens at the AT&T pen.

I will only go through these steps to update the firmware, and then flash back to Viper, if there is a perceived performance or stability gain. I was hoping some of the technical experts here could answer that.
I installed the 3.18 Radio and the 3.18 WiFi partitions update from the Venom Hub. Do they need the updated firmware to work? My phone shows the updated radio in Hboot.
