you have to insmod the driver module first! read timurs usb rom thread on rootzwiki
or take the startscript from the first post of this thread and put "/system/lib/modules/" before every module eg:
insmod /system/lib/modules/dvb-core.ko

before run app,

in terminal emulator,

su (enter)

cd /system/local (enter)
sh dvb-rtl2832.sh (enter)

then run tv

and maybe, you can put this sh in userinit.sh (in same directory) if you want to run it every time ...

i didnt test it yet...

Hi, I just rooted my (bootloader still locked) N7 (JB 4.2.2) using motochopper method. I like a 'minimal' tweak to get root, because I prefers stock ROM and kernel.

I have 2 working DVB-T(2) dongles, the Pinnacles Hybrid PRO (PCTV 340e) and PCTV 290e (DVB-T2), which are working fine on my MBP 15", runnung Slackware64 with Linux kernel 3.8

First, I wannted to try the PCTV 290e (em28xx chipset), but it seem that the driver is not in 3.1.x kernel.

Then, I saw xc4000.ko in the module files at post #129. The PCTV 340e is using xc4000 tuner and dvb-dib0070 modules. I already put the firmware file into /system/etc/firmware. I started insmod xc4000.ko, and I got "exec format error". The dmesg showed "export duplicate symbols xc4000_attach....". But most the other (18 and more) related modules able to load without any problem.

If the next Android version is using Linux kernel 3.2 or better, it will bring brighter future for the DVB-T development for N7. I am not in hurry, and I don't need to use other than stock rom/kernel at the moment. .

Thank for the efforts to bring DVB-T to the N7, and wish a greater success in future.

I dont khow witch tuner i have, how can i find out? how to use e4000? how to mount writable?

Thanks for reply!

EDIT:
I have exact dongle as martin from the first post, so it has R820t tuner
I also have android version 4.2.2. And 3.1.10 - g05b777c kernel
I searched the inter et a bit and i found out that martins dongle and mine look the same but have different tuners, i thonk he has e4000 and i have r820t, i bought mine because it is the same as his so i would be sure it would work but i guess i was wrong, i just hope there is a way to get this work so i wont need to buy another dongle witch is preety much hit and miss anyway.
Please help

seems a lot of the modules did not update correctly.

If I had the time, I'd update them.
