About kernel, 1,7ghz makes many apps unusable, apps just close just after opening. Performance in benchmarks isn't much better, but in games, you can feel the difference. Shadowgun deadzone playable
Good job. I will use it until I install ubuntu anywhere and make my own kernel
Also, please consider using BFS as it gives quite a good boost.

I'm adding a mirror to d-h.st right now
I usually only use Goo.im for hosting but it seems that it hasn't been working well lately
I added a mirror to Dev-Host in the OP. Try downloading from there
