galaxy chat specs

hi!could someone tell me the specs of galaxy chat?I saw on the first page that it has broadcom cpu 850 mhz!what about gpu?is it good for playing games like asphalt 7 or gta vice city?

The root method by androsomace works fine for jelly bean, also. See thread above for more info.

Samsung Galaxy Chat B5330

I have just purchased Galaxy Chat B5330, i put 8GB Sd Card. but all the apps installing on internal memory, how can i install apps on sd card to save internal memory. Please help.

Maybe you should do link2sd + foldermount. That way, you install apps AND put those huge gps data files to the external sd. Now, is there someone that can mod vold.fstab for sg chat to switch that internal 2gb with the microsd?

To make the chaton hardware button to do something else:

1. edit /system/usr/keylayout/bcm_keypad_v2.kl

2. find line with
key 442 ....

3. change to
key 442 CUST1

save and reboot!

Unfortunately this doesn't allow to set a new app for custom key 1, at least on my device. When I go into setup, only key 2 is editable. There must be some file where this preference is stored, but guess which

my Galchat always turn on and turn off automatically...

I tried hold power button + volume down key (downloading ODIN mode) and restart automatically, so I couldn't flash my Galchat.

please help me

What must I do first? Root or flash new firmware?

I don't own the Samsung Galaxy Chat therefore install/flash/use with your own risk
Therefore Any Changes Or Action Upon The Usage are all on your own responbility
No one will be responsible for your device to brick or explode :fingers-crossed:

    1. Rooting
      1. Enable Usb Debugging > Mount SD Card > Copy this file to root of sdcard
      2. Turn of the device for 10sec
      3. Boot into the stock recovery mode press Combo button method (Volume Down+Home+Power)
      4. On recovery use the volume +- to move around and select apply update from sdcard by pressing home
      5. Select the file you download & copied to sdcard by pressing home again
      6. After installation has complete do reboot and check whether root is working or not

      Why Odin?It's to restore to stock frimware if anything goes wrong
      How Boot B5330 Into Odin Mode?
      1. Turn off your phone
      2. Press the Home Key+Volume Down Key+Power Button until prompt a Warning Screen
      3. Once you saw the warning prompted at your screen proceed press the Volume Up Key
      4. After Press the Volume Up.You are now entering odin mode whereby the system will download all require driver for your device.
        P/s: Recommended that you have install kies for your computer before entering odin mode

    Just working on it, to provide easiest way to all galaxy chat users, I'll do my best..... so give me some time, I will come with the new way for galaxy chat rooting, may be also with custom rom :)
