I have only had a chance to install 3.5 tonight, been a bit busy the last few days. :D

Just some info that may or may not help anybody with the apn problem. I installed the 3.5 rom without the apn patch, which once flashed didn't connect to data. But I then restored a titanium backup on the 3.5 rom which included a backup of the apn settings from 3.4 rom, rebooted and it connected to data with no problems.

Coming from stock, I installed the ROM and for some reason, the WiFi Hotspot capability stopped working. I did a clean flash to update it to the latest 3.5, still not working. Gone back to stock ROM for now. Any ideas?

Settings force closes when trying to modify hotspot settings. Running 3.5 RevolutionMOD with APN patch, clean install.

This solution has worked for 2 weeks but now my phone reboots again :(. And the apn fix also don't work.

Max camera resolution is 3MP instead of 5MP

:(....maximum resolution in the camera app is 3MP(2048x1536) instead of 5MP(2592x1952)...everything else in this rom is gr8 :good:

PLease fix the camera resolution issue

And also how can i install the apn fix? do i have to flash it from recovery

help needed with cam

just installed the ROM and after getting help from different forums, i was able to resolve booting and data issues. one things is still left, on lockscreen when i select cam on left, the mobile restarts and i cant even find cam app inside, wat to do?

Hey guys, sorry about my absence i have a lot going on at the moment, and am finding it hard to find time, and working on my projects. So basically there will be updates, just not this week, there should be updates next week though. Thanks for your compliments guys, I will look at some of your suggestions, and see what i can bring to the table. I hope you guys understand, anyways look forward to the next updates. :D

v3.5 Bugs

Hello and thank you for this great "Revolution rom"
I flashed latest version (v3.5) on my Desire C with full wipe and noticed 3 bugs:

1. When I get calls in, I can`t see the number and beginning. Only after I swiped key lock to right side i can see the number.
2. When I long press on power button - the first 3 symbols (vibration - snooze - loud) are in white color - and really hard to recognize.Maybe in grey color will be better ?
3. When I want restore my backup with clockworkmod I got error: md5 mismatch

guys, i have a question. i installed revolution mod v3.3 and i can't find radio. i need the radio because of my job. don't have the radio in this rom?

edit: i fix this. i download radio files and select root mode in es file explorer. than, i copy files in /system/apps folder. it's working.

you can flash the zip file in recovery. or unrar files, copy to sdcard, open "es file explorer" in root mode. copy all files to /system/apps. after, reboot phone.

if sound does not come, install "soundhound" app. after, open "FM Radio" and press Soundhound icon.

Once all that is out of the way, based on the poll, will decide where I will go next...

I installed Revolutionmod 3.5. It's very good. It solved my wi-fi error problem.

I intalled the rom without choosing any tweak. It runs smooth.

But I wish I had some widget buttons (customizable) at the top notification drawer, such as brightnes, sound, wi-fi, 2G/3G.
With these widget this rom would be perfect for me.

I do have a few questions:

- what are "Graphics tweaks", "Fallout tweaks"?

- how one can set "Trubuchet launcher" as default?

- is there any of the tweaks which adds (customazible) widget buttons at the top notification drawer like in cm10? or, a tweak which gives (customazable) quick settings.

- it is possible to wake up the phone with up/down volume keys?

Russell is there any way by which I can replace the AOSP settings to default hTC settings?
Cause I want to turn off Fastboot, flip phone for speaker etc......AND THEY ARE NOT PRESENT IN THESE SETTINGS

    Those with data issue or are not sure about it...
    If it is your first time installing this Rom, and are not sure about your data working install the APN patched version just below here:
    • Fixed Data
    • HTC setup is re introduced on this version, remember there are two versions now, one with the APN fix which requires a patch after setup, and another without the fix, which works fine for alot of people too
    This fix would not be here without the help of my friend neoyoli, who tested the new fix, and confirmed it working.

    Now before you guys ask, the Patch to revert the Rom back to AOSP will be uploaded soon, but do not apply the patch UNITL you are FULLY setup with DATA working, to ensure no further problems. I am highlighting the main words in Capitals, because if you don't do this data will have issues.

    How to install?

    Well first of all are you sure you have a HTC Desire C? If you are certain you do, then proceed with the steps below...


    1. First Download the Rom from the link provided above...
      Once that is done, copy the zip file to your phones SD Card
      Now this step isn't a must, but if you want your WIFI to work, you need to flash a boot.img, you can see how to do this below:

      There are two ways you can do this, if you want to do it in very simple steps, use the boot.img flashing tool located here: Link

      However if you wish to know the commands required to flash the boot.img, follow these simple steps just below here:

      fastboot reboot
    2. Once you have flashed your boot.img, reboot into your recovery and flash the Rom, by using the "flash zip" option
    3. Enjoy your new ReVoluTioNMoD Rom

    • No caller ID, this is due to the AOSP dialer, once the call screen is ported it will fix this issue. Squashed Now, suck it!

    ReVolution Statistics​

    I bet your wondering, why a revolution stats app? Well there is a valid reason, it is based on CM sources and sends exactly the same data CM does, so what does it send?

    Device hash: which is an MD5 hash of the IMEI (or wifi MAC, if imei is unavailable for some reason)
    Device name: the property "ro.product.model" of build.prop
    Device version: the property "ro.build.display.id" of build.prop
    Country: from the Android API, getNetworkCountryIso
    Carrier: from the Android API, getNetworkOperatorName
    Carier ID: from the Android API, getNetworkOperator
    ROM Name: from the newly added property "ro.romstats.name"
    ROM version: from the newly added property "ro.romstats.version"

    in addition to this data, the database has an extra 2 columns:
    First registration date: the first time the device registered on the server
    Last check-in date: the last time the device (with same device hash) checked in, to remove inactive devices after X days

    Lets thank mcbyte_it, for both the base web code and for the base app code too. :)

    The ap has been changed to suit the revolution rom series, as you can see there is no personal information being sent at all. You have a choice to opt-in or out it would be nice to have as many users as possible opting in, as the information will make the revolution rom series a whole lot better. :)
