I don't think it make a difference (unless the hardware is different in Australia, what I doubt). I'm with an Asteroid Classic in France and the French version is in French yes !

will it come up in french?

You would be better off by downloading the UK or USA version of the firmware.

There are a couple of things to be aware of when using SD cards on the Asteroid (I had similar issues):
- *UPDATE* It will accept 64GB SD cards, according to some of the Asteroid forum members, just need to make sure the card is formatted properly as stated next.
- The file system cannot be Microsoft based (it needs to be Fat32 or lower)
- If using a micro SD, make sure that the SD adapter write tab is not sliding to the lock position when it is inserted.

I finally went to a Microcenter store and bought a fast Samsung 32GB SD card ($20-$30), installed it straight out of the box and the Parrot could not have been happier. All the apps I tried installed/updated without any hiccups.

I have been using the beta firmware for a couple of months now and it has been great (crosses fingers). There are obvious bugs that need to be fixed and some more obscure ones (there have been reports of reboots) but it is so much better. My main annoyances is that the automatic volume control is sometimes spotty (goes up, but sometimes forgets to come down), random track does not works if you use voice recognition to pick up an artist, and it seems like the AudioFX equalizer, bass, etc.does not come back on after the radio has been shut off for a while. Oh, and bluetooth internet sharing keeps connecting/disconnecting from my S3. Luckily USB internet works perfectly.

Yeah, it "improved" it to the extent that Navigon force closes, can't get it to start, only once.

Can someone please post a link to 2.0 BetaP5 for the asteroid classic? I accidentally deleted it before installing 2.0.1. I want to go back but Parrot's site no longer has the last beta avaliable for download. I did find BetaP2 somewhere, but would rather be on P5.

What's so bad about 2.0.1?
I'm about to upgrade from p5 to that.

Thanks for the p5 link vesp!

The problem is that a lot of installed apk's only launch after they are installed. If the asteroid is powered down for a long time or reset, the app force-closes when trying to launch. Reinstalling the app will get it to work again until the unit is powered down.
