Decided to make a new thread for PA rom updates for the I777 so folks don't have to keep checking the newest posts on the old one.

Not going to get fancy with it, so if you want to see the original I9100 thread go here. Now using this thread as port source. Thanks to all the developers for all the work they put in.

FLASH INSTRUCTIONS

go to recovery and make backup
factory reset [skip for dirty flash - i did this from 3.68 to 3.99 and had no issues but do at your own risk]
flash rom
flash gapps - i'm using latest gapps from goo.im 20130813
wipe caches


flash kernel cleaning script - i used the one here*
flash kernel [AJK Kernelhere]
I put in the AJK Kernel into the rom so you can skip this step, unless you want to use a different kernel.


reboot recovery
reset profiles & fix permissions
reboot

*kernel script may be optional but i do it and it's worked for me. this script also wipes the caches so you could skip that as well.

The new mediafire link isn't working for me. When I follow the link, Chrome displays "HTTP Error 500..." It is probably a mediafire problem. Strange because I downloaded the previous version yesterday and because I have never had a problem with them before.

Maybe a new mirror is needed?

Can't seem to get the pie controls to work any suggestions?

EDIT: figured it out.

my trial with PA

I LOVED the rom! However, my 74 yr old brain could not get wrapped around "pies". I believe this caused the loss of notifications, a MUST HAVE for me. Any low level instructions on getting notifications back?
Also, I like the "live"wallpaper of water and floating leaves. Can I obtain a APK for my wife's S2 ?

    There are some GPIO fixes in the upcoming AJK v4.9 , so if what you are experiencing is kernel related then it will likely be fixed in v4.9 .

Can I somehow inject the proper keylayout without flashing all over again?

    Re-download AJK v4.9 and re-install it. The original upload I made has the keylayout file missing for some reason.

    I have re-uploaded it with the correct keylayout file.
