Be informed PACman is not a "git cherry-pick blahblah yeee i am a dev donatezzz me" rom. It took a LOT of work of thinking behind to merge the frameworks in the right order.

PACman FAQ

PIE FAQ

Q. What is PIE?
A. PIE is a new way to interact with your notifications. It provides easy gesture based interaction with all your system information without taking up valuable screen space. PIE is what you see in this image.

Q. How do I access Pie?
A. Swipe your finger from the pie gravity edge (default is the bottom) toward the center of your screen. While keeping your finger on the screen, drag your finger to the desired button and release to click.

Q. My PIE doesn't look like the ones in the screenshots. I don't see the Clock or notifications.
A. Notifications work either through the status bar or PIE. If the status bar is enabled, PIE reverts to just the softkeys. To enable the full PIE experience, enable Expanded Desktop by going to Settings -> System -> Power Menu -> Expanded Desktop (Status bar hidden). Access the power menu and turn Expanded Desktop on.

Q. How do I change PIE colors?
A. Go to Settings -> Hybrid Properties -> Interface and change the Navigation bar color.

Q. Buttons or keyboard rows near the edge of my screen are nonresponsive.
A. PIE's trigger area overlay is covering the edge of your screen. Change either the Trigger Area or Pie Gravity in Settings -> System -> PIE Settings.

Q. I don't like PIE, how do I turn it off?
A. To disable PIE set Trigger Area to None in Settings -> System -> Pie Settings. Remember to disable Expanded Desktop to turn status bar on again.

ROM FAQ

Q.Do I need to do a full wipe before installing this ROM?
A. Unless coming from a previous version of PACman it is highly recommended to do a full wipe before installing. This includes coming from ParanoidAndroid ROMs.

Q.What do the settings in Hybrid Properties do?
A. ParanoidAndroid has an extensive guide to the settings at this thread: [GUIDE][PARANOIDANDROID] A Complete Compendium on ParanoidPreferences [PA-Settings] Please do not post questions related to PA Settings in this thread, they are not ROM specific and all we'll do is point you to that thread.

Q.How do I turn on the Navigation Bar??
A.To enable the NavBar open Hybrid Properties, swipe the screen to the right to peek through to the menu.
Select Interface, now set your desired NavBar size with the slider.

Q.Something isn't working. What do I do?
A. First, make sure you are running the latest stable version. Try a backup data using Titanium and do a full wipe reinstall. If the problem persists, report what it is and what triggers it so the dev can duplicate it.

A BIG thank you to IconRunner for putting together the FAQ!! :good:

as it will take me few days to get the device, i am preparing things before hand
What do u guys prefer for the default UI mode to be?
TabletUI like the default sony firmware or Phablet UI like the Nexus 10?

since we have hybrid engine these modes can be changed any times but thing to keep in mind is that HALO doesnt support tabletUI at the moment
one more thing, you cant change the navbar keys in tabletUI but you can add additional keys or change default keys in phabletUI
Open for suggestions

From what you suggest, I consider Phablet being the most appropiate for default interface, that way we would see and use all features to the fullest right away, and also gives us the chance to change to TabletUI if for some reason we wanted so. Of course, additional input on this might be appreciated, as I haven't tested a PACman TabletUI myself yet. I'm basing my opinion on whay you say, bluefa1con. ;)

If I wanted tablet UI I'd stick with the stock firmware. New "phablet UI" all the way.

Tablet UI all the way. Though if you can change it, i guess the default mode doesn't really matter, it's all about choice :D

In the name of choice it should be up to the user, rather than a default setting, ask on first run.

Google killed the tablet UI and I kind of think it's time to move on. Saves a small amount of screen space, granted, but it doesn't feel how Android should feel to me.

Having said that, the tablet UI clearly has some fans and I'd support it as a default option if that's what most people want. Better choice though would be an Aroma installer with the option there, if that's possible.

Note
If you guys have checked the portal XDA and Sony are giving the PACman team a tablet to port pacman rom. PACman is the fastest growing rom on xda right after CM, AOKP and PA. Our aim to eliminate user's need to hunt for different roms and provide every thing as a single package. We focus on stability, battery friendliness and dynamics of a rom which suits to every type of user. We offer nightly builds and OTAs for our officially supported devices too.
Till i get the tablet i am investigating Sony's way of doing things since its my first sony device. We hope to satisfy your expectations and provide the best rom for Tablet Z.. Porting the rom to tablet Z wont take long since the CM and FXP team have already been working on cm-10.1, I am personally very excited to work on a Sony device. Please dont ask for download links before the rom is complete as I am making this thread as per XDA competition rules to update the Public on the status of the project.

No cant be done a loocked bootloader wont alowe flashing another kernel

If i were you id waite to See if theres going to be more Development on this device roms\kernel etc.
If not maybe its not worth unloocking bootloader (because u void warranty and it cant be reversed) IF theres only going to be cm10.1 its not worth unlocking in my opnion?

Root Is definiatly a 'must' and Can easily be done, then we need a custom kernel to be able to OC to get z running at its Best cpu\gpu frekvens.. 1700\1800mzh or so - then i actually Can live whitout custom roms (Even though id miss Them)

Thats my Humble opinion

    Thanks for making the update.
I really hope they continue supporting this device since it allways was my favorite ROM for the pullux_windy.
Strange that there are no nightlies anymore considering they just started bringing them back a short time ago.

well PAC cleaned up the device list with the decision to end some cause of maintaining purposes..So at this point all maintainers had to add back there devices. Blufalcon has been busy. so not sure if he wants to keep maintaining thread..i know he likes updating for tablet though..so at this point other PAC members have discussed adding it back since i own pollux_windy since initial release.
