hey guys, just an update from my side of the work
while my cab chief (Captain_Throwback) gets the R1.1 CAB ready, i'm already slowly working on the next build (just 1-2 files a day, don't have much time)
anyway the next versions (R1.5+) will be much more robust, i found some decompiling errors i made in the current version (i couldn't decompile perfectly until recently) so the next version won't have any strange quirks, also it will feature alot of (small & big) fixes for both portrait and landscape (my goal for R1.5 is perfect portrait mode)
that's all for now, once CT gets the CAB ready, i'll also upload the OEM for R1.1

Thanks for gen-y manila. This is freakin awesome even though its not perfect i haven't played with my phone this much since i bought it. The only thing i hate is trying to decide if i want titanium or gen-y. Great job guys this has definitely given the touch pro some life.

. NOTE: I don't recommend the 16983 version because some of the files in the cab are read-only and Opera won't launch after install. The other ones should be fine, though.

what exactly do i need to change in order to switch it over?...the entry already says one and i still only get the setting.

i went back to gen. y 1.25, cause of the problem with the album-player.
When the update is ready i will give it a try.
A small update-cab for Gen Y Rom users would be great

wth? The new Gen.Y D2 R2-Rev.Y rom already includes this new R1.1 manila so why wouldn't you just update your rom?

Just wanted to confirm that the cab to make manila default to the orig WM SMS app that worked in XBMod's manila also works in this one.

For those of you that are having problems with opening email. This is what I have found...
Look at your registry and see if it reads as follows.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Templates\IPM\Note]
"Read"="\\Windows\\HTC_read_note.htm"
If this true you need to change it to the following and reset your phone and all should be good.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Templates\IPM\Note]
"Read"="\\Windows\\read_note.htm"
I hope this helps as it did for me. This was a problem some time back and some one over at PPCGeeks came up with the fix. I do not remember who though.

You can try opening 590ad244_manila with a text editor (it's an xml file) and change the following to what you want
Code:<trans-unit id="IDS_DATEFORMAT"> <source>MMM d, yyyy</source>

Really, in this file the format is already set to:
MMM d, yyyy
but on my home screen the date is showed as dd/mm/yy. Probably the right setting is placed in another file...1Is there anyway to update to r1.1 from r1.0 without flashing a new rom? I dont know if the cabs posted by captin were to update what we already have or for a fresh install.
