I also have write protected-enable but everything installs just fine.
I now have team win recovery project and a omega v9 rom.

Why don't you try reinstalling everything from the start.

Install the default galaxy s 4 rom via odin.

then install team win recovery project again via odin.

if all goes well you have your recovery.

after that restore your nandroid (if you have one) or install the rom of your choice.

I came to same issue and Odin was not able to flash it i had no kies and no drivers issue and then i used original cable and guess what that was the main issue

What worked for me is CHANGING cable

Any one having similar issue can ...

Change the cable or USB port / restart and it will work for sure

I used odin 1.85 and original usb cable that came in the
box. Problem solved am now able to flash all roms
Big thanks for your remark. My problem: I just tried to use a usb cable that came with a cheap charger. It seems some of those cables are pure charging cables, no other wires. Of course neither odin nor kies (or even media connection etc.) will work over one of these ;)

I really can not find an explanation for this, but it just worked for my I9505!! After several attempts with a non-original usb cable and several versions of Odin (including 1.85, 3.04, 3.06 and 3.07), I got to flash CF autoroot with the original cable and Odin v1.85.

Day 5 - using my carriers latest rom and pit file.
When Omin"ing" screen showed:
Writing Protection Enable,
Secure check Fail PIT,
odin passed in less than 7 minutes, rebooted and still can´t access recovery mode keeps stuck with blue font at top left.
Still stuck at first logo screen when powering on. No problem going into download mode.
Have tried all odin versions mentioned in threath

Excuse me, this problem has a solution? I am very worried, please help me!

1. Download odin 3.07 ( you have option NAND ERAS ALL )
2. Download MH8 ( If you are with knox ), / MF8 ( NON KNOX BOOT )
3. Download PIT
4. Odin - check NAND, PIT file, PDA AND START
5. After flash your phone wont boot ( stuck at samsung Logo )
6. Boot in recovery ( volume up )( original recovery )
7. Factory reset + format cache.
8. Will reboot automatically the phone

i had the same problem. used original cable, rebooted the machine, the phone, tried different .md5, different .pit and nothing worked

SOLVED: pluged the cable into the USB on the back of the tower and it worked fine, its something to do with the lower current on the front host ports. it needs to be into a direct motherboard port

Ok for those getting the following error using Odin,

<ID:0/004> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/004> Initialzation..
<ID:0/004> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/004> Removed!!
<ID:0/004> There is no PIT partition.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

I was getting the same errors whenever I tried to flash anything and couldn't figure out why. Now I seem to have sorted it.

Try this.

DO NOT HAVE ODIN OPEN YET

Stop KIES on your PC if it is on.

1) Put your phone into Download mode, (Home, Vol Down, Power at same time).

2) Connect your USB to PC/Laptop and phone.

3) Press UP on your phone.

4) now, open ODIN. <---only open AFTER your have pressed UP on your phone. COM and "Added" should be showing.

5) Flash what you need to flash.

(I noticed previously when I had Odin open, then pressed UP, it would show as "Added" and a Com would show, but I would ALWAYS get the Pit error and a Red FAIL)

I have now tried this method several times on the trot, flashed CWM with success, (where as it was always failing previously), and re-flashed other ROMS with success each time.

Hope this helps others.

Man, You're the MAN!!! I Confirm that worked for me. Was stuck in Download mode. Nor Recovery worked anymore. Did this and it worked. Thank you very much!

(I still can NOT get into recovery using power+home+UP)

Try using just the Vol Up+Power. Once the phone vibrates, let go of the power but keep holding the up key until you see something appear on the screen. That works on my non-rooted phone to get into recovery.
