Yep, but not good news

>Apple earbud has well shaped response in the middle frequencies and drops off a cliff in the low bass and high treble. A correction filter may not do much for these. No info on the HPM 64

Ahhh thank you! It's been years since my er4p left the house, but now I have a great incentive to use them on the go again!

So with this impulse response we should actually calibrate insertion depth so that we can hear it peak at 10.5k?

Yeah

Or if you use sinegen and tell me where you actually hear the peak I may do another profile when I have time

Also I added a strong bass setting for the Sony XB90EX labelled "maxxbass" for Snyper0012 over at head-fi. If it wasn't for him I would never have known about V4A

Can't remember where i got this from but its interesting
@Joe do you think there are benefits of wearing earphones "over ear"?
On my JVC FX3X there was quite a big difference in favour of wearing them over ear but with the SoundMagic i can't really tell much difference but its supposed to be better anyway because the wires are being" earthed" from cable noise as they are touching the back of your ear first, but what you think buddy?

I'm a clumsy all-thumbs guy and hate the guts of phones designed for over-ear wear As long as you get a tight seal there shouldn't be a difference in sound I use a shirt clip to cut down on microphonics of cable down wear.
