Alright guys.. this is as good as I think I can make it..

Give it a shot... Updated.

Next... try to get brightness settings to work inside of ubuntu.. that needs to be changed in the kernel..

otherwise you can always do

sudo su
echo "0-255" > /sys/class/leds/lcd-backlight/brightness

to set the screen brightness. 0-255 is a range of values you should use.
0 will turn off the backlight
255 is full birghtness

and of couse.. service powerd stop while the screen is on will stop powerd.

09:11] <hallyn_> To test the fix by hand,
[09:11] <hallyn_> add the following to $container_dir/fstab:
[09:12] <hallyn_> /sys/fs/pstore sys/fs/pstore none bind 0 0

We will try this after work today!

For LXC 1.0

Reuploading keyboard fix..

Downloading
Does anyone know why I am not able to download anything from the net? Any download links in the browser just flash for a second but nothing actually gets downloaded.

So, is it worth a download yet, or wait for further development?
Thanks for all the hard work so far...
Peace

Btw, download links work fine for me...

It is worth the download to check out... But it's not a daily driver... not by any means.. Download links do...

nothing.

Waiting for an updated LXC to test, and then play on recompiling a newer pulse... to see if that helps with playing sound after waking up. Could just be Ubuntu Touch..

Anyone hear have a mako, maguro, manta or grouper to test Ubuntu Touch on? There are 4 devices that Ubuntu is porting for..

http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-to...alled/current/

We should compare ourselves to one of those 4.. Though they have bugs as well... We need to see if we have the same bugs.

Updated.. Correctly tarred the rootfs.

cd /data/ubuntu
tar -zcvf /sdcard/saucy-preinstalled-touch-armhf.tar.gz *

easy! I feel dumb now. Thanks ogra! I forgot I did that with Quantal. You cannot tar in root with one-filesystem or etc.. it still tries to tar data.. but you can in /data/ubuntu because there is nothing mounted to the mountpoints. Duh.

The download links on Page 1 of this thread work fine, the problem is that after installing, downloading anything onto the touchpad from the Ubuntu Touch browser (or from anywhere for that matter) does nothing
