SR2
So, here it is. It took a bit longer than an hour overall due various things but oh well, sleep is for the weak.

Download: [codefi.re][goo.im]
Buttonlight patch: [codefi.re][goo.im]
Perf kernel: [codefi.re][goo.im]
Changelog: [pastebin][codefi.re] (It doesn't include totally new repos, it was too messy with those.)
Manifest: [github]

ps. New gapps: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130812-signed.zip

Humm... hit recovery and cleared cache and dalvik. I flashed SR2. Rebooted. Went back into recovery cleared cache and dalvik and flashed the performance kernel and now I just get the HTC splash screen and then a blank / slightly illuminated screen and no further.

Pulled the battery and it gets to the same spot again.

Any thoughts or tips??

You should wait for few hours that phone set up and become stable before flashing perf kernel...

I don't think so. The problem is the perf kernel: it doesn't work for all phones. And its installation should be pondered and done carefully.

The app mentioned there is Headset Button Controller. All credit for this goes to author of Wizdroid who explained it in description of his programme

The app helps, but I think editing the key layout helped more. This has saved me so many headaches, the only thing it doesn't remedy is the issue where it goes to mono if it's moved, which is purely a hardware issue.

In the meantime, you may try randomblame's jellytime 4.3 which i believe is in usable condition and is somewhat based on cm. Afaik, he doesn't have sources available, except for kernel, so i can't say how much it differs from pure cm.
