I have it on good faith that DvTonder will be releasing a play store version that works on 4.1.2... It's in testing now. Also, the version I posted isn't quite right, hence a three-way collaboration to iron it out.

TL;DR? Just wait a day or two :)

definitely looking forward to the 4.1.2 release and appreciate yours and dvtonders efforts. will keep an eye open for the play store release. :)

Short question:
Why does this only work on 4.2+? Because of the lock screen widget?
If yes: Would it be possible to release a 4.1 Version? I'd really love to use this widget on my GT-P5110, however I really dislike the 4.2 Stock Firmware and am returning to 4.1. The only thing that keeps me from reverting to 4.1 is that cLock won't work :(

Coming soon to the Play store :)

It's back ...

Say hello to Chronus, the elegant Home and Lock screen clock, weather and calendar widget.

By popular demand this widget is being released as a stand-alone, Play store installable app.

Functionally the same as the Cyanogenmod cLock widget and brought to you by the same developer, this independently released, standalone widget takes back its original name, Chronus and brings the same elegant look and feel to the broader Android community.

How do I get it?
Its simple, just install it from the Play store

Hmm, definitely not worth the effort given the loss of functionality.
Looking, you could actually get around it. It calls AppWidgetManager to get the "options" for the resize height. You could simply either use the value in dimens...

But, after doing that, another issue... setTextViewTextSize is API v16 But I guess you could fix that with layout.xmls.

The version of cLock in CM10.2 will be equivalent to the standard version of the Chronus widget. It will not include the pro features, those will be Play Store only.

So, when the pro version comes out will I be able to buy it and use it even if I'm on cm10.2?? Thanks!

Yes, it will will function alongside the cLock app. If you buy it, you'll likely want to remove cLock from your phone instead.

Correct, the two widgets will co-exist on the same device.

You can delete the active cLock widgets from the home/lock screen and replace them with Chronus widgets. There is really no need to uninstall/remove the cLock app from your device. If there are no cLock widgets active it will be completely dormant and it will just get re-installed when you update to a new nightly.

Thanks for the 4.1 support! But the link to the app is kinda useless, can you make it so it takes you to move the widget after setting it up, or just making it not show up on launcher on 4.1? Thanks!

You mean the launcher icon? I dispute the uselessness you describe. The launcher icon means you can customise the widget, after having put it in it's place. Previously, to change the colour of text or which calendars to use, you had to remove the widget, then readd it again. I assume this is the purpose of the launcher icon.

Ohh, my bad then. I thought it was meant only to configure and set up the lockscreen icon, sorry!

    Huh? Wut? Freedom of wut?

    Me waits for..... it's comin..... wait fer it....

    Heeeeeeeeeeere's JOHNNY!

    :cyclops:

    I use my freedom of speech if you do not like my opinions, sorry, did not know who has purchased an application can not criticize it in this forum.

    Oh boy! Congratulations! You guys woke up the ghost of Christmas past...

    So as to not completely derail this thread I will make one comment regarding Mr. First Amendment's here....

    We are not the United States Government. We are the internet. We are a privately owned forum. This is not Trafalgar Square in London where you can stand on a bench and utter BS regarding your discontent with local government.

    What Pons said earlier should have been the end of it (especially considering he is a moderator who, despite this not being his duty, decided to go out of his way to kindly explain to you the fact that you paid money for a product which does not guarantee you anything). However, considering that you did pay money (regardless of the amount), that constitutes a transaction between you and the dev (read: between YOU and HIM... not everyone else in this thread/forum/universe).

    If you feel that you have a right to publicly complain (not provide feedback, but flat out complain), then you have come to the wrong neighborhood. This is not a customer service center for people to come in and complain. This is a place where people provide feedback, logs, and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism so that the dev(s) can, ultimately, provide you with a better product for you to enjoy. This goes back to the core ethos of xda-developers, which is to share knowledge... by sharing bugs, you are sharing your knowledge about faults in the coder's product, thus, allowing him/her to improve and fix things. By complaining the way you did, you are effectively providing 0 knowledge and basically deterring the dev's time to try and figure out why or what you are upset about, effectively taking away from coding time.

    If you are going to post in this forum, I suggest that

    a. You leave your entitled attitude at the door;
    b. Be ready to provide REAL feedback;
    c. You understand that XDA-Developers is a DEVELOPERS and HACKERS forum and not a democracy. Opening an account gives you the PRIVILEGE to post. Posting is NOT A RIGHT.
    d. You understand that we are not the BBB, Angie's List, or a feedback site where you get to complain about someone's service or product. If you are unhappy about something that you purchased, I suggest you utilize other means to vent your frustrations other than by abusing your posting privileges.

    I hope my message is clear...
