I'm on Windows 8 & I hate it. More problems the better solutions in my opinion. I want Windows 7 back.

Any ideas why the MTP service will not install the driver under Windows 8.1 Pro?

I can see plenty of mirrors for the USB drivers, but is there a mirror for the ADB installer, please? (Preferably one that doesn't try to throw a load of porno popups at me )

Very suspicious that I've never used Turbobit before, have a static IP, and yet it still claims that it's reached the limit of connections from my IP address…

Edit: actually, I can just download the SDK from Google there, can't I? A bit more bandwidth but a lot less hassle…

Thanks for your reminder but these drivers are unfortunately incomplete. They should be around 15 MB and they are 8. I know this because I've run across incomplete Samsung drivers on the net once.

Thanks for the link to the updated (1.5.27.0) drivers. Neither the link at Helium (1.4.4.0) nor the Samsung link (1.5.14.0) provided drivers that work for my GS4 (i337) and Windows 7/64 pc. The drivers you link work fine for me.

Let me clarify that this is for purposes of using Helium.

Using drivers 1.5.14.0 would work for my PC to see the files on my GS4, but only with developer mode/USB debugging disabled.

Any help will be much much appreciated!

I had 13 hours wasted in order to find a solution to my win 7 64bit and gt-i9100 all of sudden connection lost. I did and re-did all the above including the 3 methods in this thread - no use.
installing 2 applications finally resolved the problem: "pdanet" and "usb deview"....google and DL. pdanet uninstalls all failed previous drivers and reinstalls. usbdeview is a most efficient small app to use whenever usb ports and usb softwares are involved.
good luck
