Well, I don't have a backup, at least not one I can restore with cwm. Any ideas if I try to downgrade it with PC Odin?

P.S.
Just an update to my earlier post regarding Wi-Fi. Reflashed the german (DBT) 4.3 with PC Odin (from download mode). Wi-fi seems to be active, so I suppose there's something wrong with mobile Odin atm.

OK. i flashed via cwm (deodexed, zipalign, pre-rooted), maybe some corrupt bytes.

[Never update or change a system, if you don't have an actual backup]

If i read it correctly, there is a chance there will be a corrupt imei, so, try and risk it.

*EDIT: @BrunoNRG, i think so, there is no way, at the moment, to reset this counter. No idea, if it's gone after downgrade and fresh full update.

Now restoring 4.1.2 backup using cwm v6.0.3.3... let's see how it goes

EDIT - Restore complete, knox remains...

I guess I'll try to restore the CWM backup I also did today, before I upgraded to 4.3.

This (attachment) is what my phone shows on download mode, does that mean that the warranty is gone...?

I've got the same....Knox Warranty Void:1
So for the moment no warranty ...(not that i care much) i think the advantages of rooting overcome the warranty.

I have tried cf-auto-root, and the procedure ends successful, but when i install and run SuperSU this is what i get:

"There is not SU binary
installed, and SuperSU
cannot install it. This is
a problem.
If you just upgraded to
Android 4.3 you need to
manually re-root - consult
the relevant forums
for your device"

So...what are we doing now ?

I guess it's all a matter of time untill something like triangle away, but for knox warranty void reset, is made.

I already tried to restore a 4.1.2 backup to see if knox was gone, but it doesn't, I believe that flashing a 4.1.2 stock rom using odin will have no effect on removing knox either.

Regarding your question, I think the same, I can live without warranty, but I really must have root, so I have to find a way to get it working...

People who used mobile odin can roll back to 4.1.2
as mobile odin doesnt flash the bootloader

people who used odin cant

just wait a bit and a build will come out without the new bootloader

if you go steaming in now and flash the new bootloader you can never roll back
and will have knox warranty void if you try

After the new bootloader with knox is installed there's no way to downgrade / replace it?

SELinux status: Use "SELinuxModeChanger".
WiFi: Apparently Samsung went full @$$hole this time, and made kernel module loading dependent on the Knox bootloader (kernel modules are verified for digital signature using TIMA, which is part of the new bootloader). IOW, we need a custom kernel for WiFi. Someone please port BoefflaV5...

BTW, Samsung changed the way the kernel is signed, so now the old bootloader thinks that the official 4.3 kernel is a custom build, and shows a red ! in the corner.

Flashed my 9305 with the latest 4.3 DBT (german) firmware, flashed it with mobile Odin and my Wi-fi isn't active, simply can't turn it on. (IMEI mac address and the serials are in place), anyone with 4.3 experience on s3 LTE?

I have flashed the same firmware, there is no problem, everything is fine, no lag or anything buggy, Wifi working fine, battery life is better than last 4.1.2.

Okay guys, in approx. 3 hours I will get to it, gonna download boeffla 5.x source, compile and test. However, I need exact instructions how to avoid installing new bootloader.

From what I've read here, using mobile odin I can choose what to flash? And what's more, Knox apps might be removed after booting? Or in some other way?

Hi,

since I have the WIFI problem and I tried to flash, unsuccessfully, first by Mobile Odin, then by Heimdall, can you give us some details about your flash action?

In details,
the previous firmware,
the program used to flash,
the firmware flashed (vodafone version or not).

Thanks a lot! :)

I've managed to install the rom from pc odin. Wifi works, I can't comment on performance and stability yet. The problem is to get root now.

Problem?
Install CWM, flash super_su.zip from ROOT Guide.
Start up phone, start root explorer, navigate to /system/app/, tap on SuperSU.apk, install.
Open SuperSU from appdrawer and install su.bin and deactivate KNOX.

That's how it's work for me.

I was used to a easier way without flashing CWM :) - framaroot worked nicely before. But thanks for the headsup, I suppose I'll have to adapt :)

I flashed the Germany firmware CSC: I9305DBTEMJ4 found on sammobile (not vodafone) using Odin on PC (Odin3 v3.04), my previous firmware was stock 4.1.2 (rooted).
No wifi problem, no lag or anything buggy, everything works fine for me, also I haven't Wipe memory or cache anything, have just flashed it.

    **** ! SamMobile says KNOX isn't implement...

On download mode there is also a knox count,

    Custom Binary download: Yes(19 counts)
    Current Binary: Samsung Official
    System status: Official
    Knox Warranty void: 0
    AP SWREV : A2

On knox in app we need to download and install additional 133MB, I haven't installed yet. I can't take a screenshot of in app as it says DRM protected image.
