Don't think that is at issue. The ROM had an insecure kernel. Need some more info, gotta think, BD has seen more failures, hopefully chime s in.

So, we need to know if you did this:
1) Downloaded and flashed the ROM suggested (yes, apparently);
2) You booted into that ROM, ran the SuperSU application and it either worked, or demanded you update it -- which you did if it asked;
3) You rebooted *again* into the ROM and enabled USB debugging;
4) You then ran "adb shell" and typed "su" -- that would generate SupserSU asking to grant adb permission for root -- and you did (grant);
5) you then exited adb and started Rumrunner (I have no clue why you keep trying revone -- aren't you 1.55 hboot?)
