Hi, I want to upgrade my HTC Desire with android 2.2.2 to 2.3.3 but it is currently rooted.
I will use the official package by HTC "RUU_HTC Desire Android 2.3 Upgrade (Gingerbread).exe"
I'm able to use the Android Debugging Bridge so do I still need to install HTC Sync for this?

Thanks in advance Jordynl.

All you need to do is install HTC Sync, and then run the RUU.

You have to disable Fast Boot from power options.
Alright, Then next problem. :p

I successfully installed the rom, But now it tends to crash sometimes (when going out of the lock screen) it crashes and volume down, trackball + power won't reboot it.
Anyway to fix this?

Oh and it isn't longer rooted. The bootloader recovery mode gives a red triangle, (holding volume button up and power) brings me to the stock recovery.

What to do. :S

1. To reboot, take the battery out.

2. Use revolutionary to s-off and root.

Just so u know when ur s-off then just run the ruu, u still remain s-off. To go complete stock s-on u need to flash downgrader then ruu and ul be s-on. :)

That explains many things. Thanks!
