It is just for an extremely short instant. I usually have my volume turned off so didn't notice this before, but it only does it if my volume is not off. I didn't have it turned up all the way either, just somewhere mid-range. I saw an earlier post where someone was getting an audio pop with an immediate reboot, this is not happening to me, just an audio pop, I have had no lockups, crashes or reboots at all with CM11. It works great.

Also, I have had no screen flashes with CM11 but this seems oddly familiar. I have 2 HD+ nooks and one of them had screen flicker months ago right after I rooted it and put CM10.1 on it. I think it was on my wife's nook and was annoying her enough she didn't know if she liked the nook or not, but luckily it went away, probably with a new nightly ROM and she has loved it ever since. Now, her nook is still on 10.2 because I have been waiting for CM11 to get a little more stable (I don't like to mess with her working setup).

Do you have lockscreen sound turned on?

And regarding your wife's NOOK set up: I wouldn't mess with it either. I went back to the CM10.2 Snapshot M1, installed 8x8 trim kernel and installed Tablet UI and it is ROCK SOLID. Seriously - I love CM11 and its snappyness but the reboots, flickering issues made me go back to this stable set-up. We will just have to wait for a stable CM11.

Just download one of the CM10.2 ROMs, extract zip and look for the Browser.apk in system / apps. Then try installing it on your CM 11 ROM. Can't guarantee that it will work, but give it a try!

Got another "panic reboot to stock while asleep" on unofficial 01/18 SD version.

If only the kernel gets rigged to re-boot to SD rather than EMMC, the occasional "reboot while asleep" wouldn't be much of a problem.

You got *my* attention. If you please:

Which CM10.2 Snapshot M1?
Here?: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=ovation

8x8 trim kernel - Have you got a link? Or could you please post it somewhere?
This one and Tablet UI?: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=1321

Found it! I hope.

What is it that distinguishes Snapshot form other builds?

Thanks.

It is just a "snapshot" of a nightly. Nothing special. It is the only version CM kept on their site when all the other nightlies were removed.

I think you already found the CM10.2 Snapshot M1 right? As far as I know it is a more stable build than a Nightly (See different categories of CM builds)

Tablet UI: https://www.dropbox.com/s/64dxifs7hu...102-update.zip

Tablet UI restore: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3tviegc0to...02-restore.zip

8x8 Trim Kernel: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q6qlre5gzh...l-trim-8x8.zip

Flash ROM, gapps and Kernel. Then reboot and set up your device. Then reboot to recovery and flash Tablet UI.

Press thanks if I could help, please!

"Stable is after all the features desired by the CM devs have been put in and the code has been tested. Snapshots (M builds) are builds done roughly once a month that has had some testing to make sure things are mostly working and released to the public. These are the first builds that allow official bug reports on the project manager site, https://jira.cyanogenmod.org. Nightlies are automated builds that are built, well, every night. There is no human interaction with these and they are largely there just to see if the code added throughout the day will compile."

A new function on CM is coming out: Tap to wake
See here
Tap (usually double-tap) to wake. This *should always* be supported by the hardware directly. A lot of recent touch controllers have a firmware option for this.
Is it possible on HD and HD+?
